One question, is Lamar attacking as much as before? I have a feeling he needs to be a lot more consistent but I can't make a fianl judgement from stats alone.

nah he's not even getting touches in the offense... I remember in the 3rd, there was a stretch where Kobe & Farmar took the shots on 5 or 6 consecutive posessions and Lamar must have touched the ball like twice. Lamar got pretty frustrated after that and took a bad 3 from the top of the key on his next touch. He was pretty much non-existant in this game. He's slowly turning into the Lamar of the beginning of the season last year.

odom didn´t even try to do anything in 3rd and 4th, he just got ball and passed it to teammate. If kobe is so selfish then how the fuck walton can score and odom can´t.

Another exaggeration. Lamar got touches but as stated above he just got it and passed. Cant really blame another guy for not being agressive, Lamar wasnt taking his shot so what should we expect but another guy taking them for him. He may feel like with Kobe on the court he gotta give him all the shots but thats not how its supposed to go. Kobe will always get his shots, he's been a bit more willing this year I have realized so he should be taking advantage. We currently complain about him taking 19 shots when last year the guy was jacking up 30 like nothing. No reason why Lamar cant put up 15-20 on a nightly basis if not for his little passive streaks during the game.

You see xman, that's the problem. Odom doesn't try to do anything cause he doesn't have balls... he's turning back into what he was last season. "Oh my job is to pass and rebound..." Someone needs to tell Odom to be mroe greedy for god's sake... Kobe needs to tell Lamar to do something.

I agree with you Zoom..Odom is a superstar caliber player..He just don't have the guts to do what he should be doing..I saw his games last season..He was incredible..He has the strength..The quickness..The shooting..Consistency..Defense..and rebounding skills..The problem is that he just doesn't want to take the shots and let it all hang out..He just plays it safe..I wish he could think back and ask himself what his purpose was when he first wanted to come into the NBA..

Hes knee makes it all,he doesn`t want to rush anywhere r something like that,he is slower than he was last year,cause of hes knee(also he needs to lower hes weight).
19 shots and hit 10 of them is good enough.7TO`s are also cause of hes knee,like i said,hes slow,he can`t tribble that fast and can`t take those fast moves.
Let`s see in january or smt like that,he will beat every player in NBA.

With turnovers, I feel that it must be because of his knee. It's not at full strength and he has complained about changing directions quickly. That should account for why he loses the ball...

True, his FG % is up so I'm excited that he seems to be picking the right shots.... but more of the reason why his point average isn't up is because he's still recovering from injury. He's still gonna take till January before he's back to the old Kobe.

I think the Lakers would work best if they get Odom & Kobe on the strong side of the triangle and get more opportunities where Odom gets the ball in the high post and Kobe cuts off of him. He's tall enough to where he can hand off to Kobe or see over the defense and pass to someone under the basket.

I agree. Also, the rest of the team should cut more. Take Walton's example! It's a basic principle... and the triangle accomodates movement on offence.

With Odom, he could be contributing around 20 points every night at least. There's no reason why he couldn't do that. He's just got to attack the hoop more. The 20 points, 17 or watever rebounds is what I want to see from him.

Odom should play in the post if he feels comfortable there. I wouldn't mind that with Kobe playing on the wing and Walton as a link in between the two. What we still need is a PG who can shoot. If only Smush hadn't lost his mojo.

The Lakers have some real bad scrubs like Vujacic but he goes he doesnt get noticed enough because the other players cover him but he is quietly ruining the team and people should be more like Andrew Bynum when Vujacic has the ball.

I could only watch bits and pieces of the game against the Bulls since I was at work, but it seems like the Lakers put together a nice run at the end and Kwame did decently in the 4th. Lamar's game was solid, except for 7 TOs but I guess all that matters is the W.

Kobe struggled shooting wise... 4 turnovers means his total is 38 in the last 8 games. That's close to 5 a game.

Lamar picked up the slack and that's what I wanna see.

it appears to me, bynum, farmar, turiaf and radmanovic were really good additions to the team. (given of course, most lakers fans hate radmanovic )

Bynum has been incredibly inconsistent tho, give him time and he can be the kind of player that can dominate games on both ends. But right now, I'd prefer starting Brown who can rebound and defend on a more consistent basis, and bringing Bynum off the bench for some needed scoring and, more importantly, when Brown is in foul trouble( and this alone guarantees quite an amount of PT for Bynum ).

Kwame and Smush were the ones impressed most tho,
especially with Kwame's hustle play and his 7 offensive boards. Given his size and strength he forced some turnovers inside, and also made a pass to a cutting Walton which I thought he wouldnt have awared of. He airballed on one freethrow tho, and thats on his homecourt...haha.
Walton didnt have a lot of touch in the offense, but he made a clutch three before making a bad decision in throwing the ball up court which then went out of bound with 16seconds to play. He was always the one to look wise when it comes to making decision, but yea, the team got the win.
And the Lakers had something like 6 field goals in the 4th quarter and didnt score until 6 minutes left in the period.

good god the Clips coudn't get a rebound. They lost the game on the boards. Last year, they were one of the top rebounding teams in the league, but for some reason they just came out flat.

Lamar came out of the gate firing and was looking for his shot. However, after a few shots, he got frustrated and Kobe took all the shots the rest of the quarter (he had 20 in the first). Offensively, the Lakers looked lost, but the Clips looked lost defensively. I guess that's why Kobe decided to take over. Q Ross had a nice block on Kobe though
