A flashy dunk by Brian Grant and a block by Jahidi White gave the Warriors a three point lead with 1.20 to go. Antonio Roberson nailed a shot from beyond the arc to give the Warrios a 4 point lead with 30 seconds to go. Walter Hermann hit a three pointer to cut the lead to two with 8 seconds remaining. I still have to edit my sliders, rebounding is too low and blocks are too high which makes it nearly impossible to score in the paint. But I'm waiting till the end of the 2nd Chance audition to edit them.

Bobcats win the battle of the big-men

Charlotte Bobcats vs. Toronto Raptors 98 - 85

It's been game 4 of the 2nd Chance audition. The Raptors facing the Bobcats in the Arena in Oakland. The Raptors won their first game against the Warriors while the Bobcats did not manage to come away with a win. But the young team startet big and outscored the Raptors 31-22 in the first. With a 60-35 lead at half-time the game seemed to be over. But the Raptors did not give up and fought their way back into the game outscoring their opponents 15-32 in the third. But they were not able to continue their run and the Bobcats won their first game in the 2nd Chance Audition 98-85. Chris Bosh and Rasho Nesterovic combined for 38 points
and 16 boards. But Primoz Brezec and Emeka Okafor responded with 38 points as well but combining also for an incredible amount of 26 boards. The 2nd Chance audition will go into the last round when the Warriors and Raptors face the Nuggets.

Hardaway lifts Warriors over Nuggets

Denver Nuggets vs. Golden State Warriors 95 - 112

It's the last game for the Warriors in the 2nd Chance audition and only 10 players are left to compete for a roster spot. After today's match those players who managed to impress the coach and the rest of the team may sign a contract immediately. According to league insiders the Warriors may sign three players who are not currently on their roster.

The game started with an injury to Penny Hardaway in the 2nd minute of the game after colliding with Carmelo Anthony. Penny was able to play but had trouble with his left arm. Both teams battled defensively on the floor but neither could really build a big lead. At the
end of the 1st, the Warriors up 25-27.

Quote of the Quarter:
"I think this will heat him up" - Don Nelson on Penny Hardaway's injury

Key play of the Quarter:
Barnes steals the ball and finds Roberson for an open shot to give the Warriors the lead.

Key stats of the quarter:
9 pts. by DaJuan Wagner

ImageImage

Don Nelson, appearantly a witch doctor, predicted it right. Hardaway returned being on fire hitting 5 straight shots in a row. To the Warrior's misfortune, he was not the only one having a hot streak. With Carmelo Anthony on the bench, Earl Boykins hit shot after shot. The Warriors were able to buld a small lead, and were up 53 - 60.

Quote of the Quarter:
"I knew I was right" - Don Nelson

Key play of the quarter:
Erick Strickland finds Penny Hardaway for a long 2 which opened the run for the Warriors.

Key stats of the quarter:
14 pts. - 4 assists by Penny Hardaway
9 pts - 4 assists - 2 steals by Earl Boykins

ImageImage

The third started the way the second period ended. With defensive and offensive effort the Warriors were able to extend their lead to 10 early in the third. This time it was DaJuan Wagner who kept the home team in the game offensively scoring 8 points in a row.
After being up by as much as 17 the Warriors chose to take some speed out of the game reducing the scoring in this fast game. 74 - 88, that's the score at the end of the third.

Quote of the Quarter:
"It never happens when you're single" - Baron Davis after being surprisingly kissed by a fan.

Key play of the Quarter:
Antonio Davis blocked a dunk attempt by Kenyon Martin.

Key stats of the quarter:
18 pts. on 7/8 shooting by Dajuan Wagner

ImageImage

Allthough continuing his run from the 2nd Quarter, Early Boykins did not manage to bring the Nuggets back into the game. Midway through the final quarter, the Warriors up by 20. Defending their lead and due to another great run by Penny Hardaway the Warriors could manage
to win 95 - 112.

Quote of the Game:
"Now it's up to the staff to decide who may or may not play for the team" - Anthony Roberson

Key stats of the Game:
26 pts. - 6 assists by Penny Hardaway
27 pts. by DaJuan Wagner

Image

The staff has spoken. Out of 15 players (5 from the original Golden State Warriors Roster) only 5 players managed to make the team. No it's time for the fans to guess who's in and who's not. Participate and have the chance to battle a Warrior of your choice after the final Game of the 2nd Chance Audition between the Nuggets and the Raptors.

Mode
5 players were able to make the team. The first participant who names those 5 players (in no particular order) gets to play against a Warrior of his/her choice. Each fan may only participate once a day! (Measured by the board's time)

Note
Please only participate if you can provide a full cap for yourself (max. overall rating: 75) or a roster save with yourself in it. The game will end after someone named all 5 correct players. If the participation is too low I'll cut the numbers of needed players down.

Hint
The right answer may not necessarily contain one player of every of the five positions. (More hints will be added daily)

Warriors sign Jahidi White

The Golden State Warriors announced today that the team has signed Center/Forward Jahidi White. The 6.9, 290 lbs White played his last game 2004 with the Charlotte Bobcats. White has beaten his contenders Antonio Davis and Adonal Foyle at the recent 2nd Chance Audition

ImageImage

Image

It was really hard to chose as both players (Jahidi White and Antonio Davis) played very well. Unfortunately we could only pick one. We chose Jahidi White because of his outstanding defensive performance. Our team has lots of guys who are able to score, but it lacked a solid defender. Now we have one, and we're happy he signed.

Image

I'm glad I got another chance to prove that I still can play. I was on many different teams before but I'm confident that I'll be here longer. It's time now to get back into shape and contribute for the team. I feel sorry for Antonio [Davis] as I would have liked to play with him. He's a great guy.

Guess who... UPDATE

Due to little participation I made it easier. I'll introduce one player after another over the next days. The poster with the most right answers (currently Zoom) get's to challenge a Warrior of his or her choice.

I don't think that you really need Jahidi, cause you have Biedrins and Foyle already, why do you need another, same caliber player...
