Video On Trial - It's a show on MuchMusic here in Canada. They play popular music videos to comedians. And the comedians make fun of them. Fantastic.

 the concept of the show is good but the people that judge the videos are absolute pinheads. the majority of them are comprised of 'comedians' yet nothing they say is remotely funny. (and this is coming from a guy that laughs at the stupidest shit) the only good thing about this show is the self proclaimed hottest comedian in north america. i think her name is nicole arbour, and she's fucking sizzling.

I have that on my list I think. Great show. Can't wait for the next episodes. Though it's gonna be next year

Yeah you do, I missed it. I heard they are going to be running 8 episodes in January, as like a finish for season 3, then they are going to start season 4 in the Summer.

I actually never watched the show untill the last episode, I watched it and thought it was great. I have sinced watched all the rest of the episodes and I cannot wait to see what happens next. What a great show.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I've read. I hate how they cut midseason. Those 4 guys have great chemistry. Make that 5. Ari's great too. Let's hug it out, bitches!

Here are some of my favorite Entourage quotes.

Ari Gold: [Ari doesn't want Vince to do Queens Blvd] You know what they feed people on an indi set, Vinne? Nothing! They don't give you a trailer. They tell you to go sit on an apple box. Ever try to bang an extra on an apple box?
Eric: Well, if anybody could do it, Vince could.
Vince: I do have great balance.

Eric: [Emily is Ari's assistant. She and Eric have broken up. Eric walks to her desk] Hey.
Emily: [into intercom] Pizza boy's here.
Eric: Really?
Eric: Really.
Eric: [sighs and enters Ari's office] What's wrong with her?
Ari Gold: From now on ask my permission before you bang one of my assistants.
Eric: How'd you know that?
Ari Gold: 'Cause I know all. And I could have told you that this would end badly. Now I gotta to fire her so you don't feel weird.
Eric: No. Don't fire her.
Ari Gold: All right. Well, I'll just sexually harass her until she quits.

Ari Gold: The next one after "Queens Boulevard" is a studio picture: I'm talking franchise, baby. We'll get you the lunchbox. And an action figure with a monster cock.
Vincent Chase: It's definitely tempting.
Ari Gold: I love you!

Johnny Drama: If you play gay or retarded you get an Oscar. I'd take in the ass for an Oscar.
Turtle: You'd take in the ass for a guest spot on The Hughleys.

Shauna: It's like prom; you get your date a corsage and she gives you a hand job.
Turtle: Who the fuck wants a hand job?

Ari Gold: I'll beat that old fuck and throw him in the pool.
Ari Gold: [to his young kids]
Ari Gold: Only Daddy speaks that way!

Ari Gold: That was a good speech, Lloyd. If I was 25 and liked cock, we could be something.

What a fantastic show.

Anyway, I don't really watch TV. I'll watch Heroes (you can watch the full replay of the previous episode on nbc.com, so I watch it that way), or Law & Order reruns on TNT.

So why werent you in my Heroes thread? :o

I thought nobody on here really liked it.

edit: That little Entourage snippet has me interested. I think I might give it a watch.

Don't get to watch many American TV shows on TV because even just the situation we have about those shows here, pisses me off (we are more than one-season "late" for each and every FOX show, and almost exactly a season "late" for WB/UPN/NBC shows, except for One Tree Hill which is incredibly late of 3 seasons. Plus, the whole translating system sucks hairy balls -not only the grammar part of it...sometimes characters don't seem the same when you watch the show in Italian because they completely change the voice of it- and they don't offer episodes in English with/without subtitles.)
So I'd say the shows I watch the most (watch/download episodes off the internet from the current USA season) are Prison Break, House and My Name is Earl. I also like shows like Scrubs and I sometimes watch One Tree Hill but I'm not really into it. That's pretty much all I watch...Other stuff includes crappy Italian shows or VH1/MTV's programs.
Dear Old World, you represent everything that's wrong...

Don't really watch much TV anymore... but as far as new shows go:

The Shield is one of the best TV shows I've ever seen. I've been following it since season 1 and it's a shame to see it coming to an end. It's the only show that I make a conscious effort to see on a weekly basis. What I really like about it is that instead of the typical cop "good guy", "bad guy" show, the main character sits in a gray area between the two, and you kinda pull for him when you see his family and whatnot.

How I Met Your Mother is a decently funny show... Doogie Howser as a womanizer is really funny(and he recently came out of the closet in real life)

FX also has a show called "Thief" which I thought was good... on the same lines as The Shield.

NBA basketball of course.

I try to catch as many FAmily Guy episodes I haven't seen yet. Reruns up the wazoo here in the US.

as far as old shows go, Fresh Prince, TMNT (the old cartoons), and the old X-Men cartoons.

I starting watching Heroes a few days after your thread. I saw it in every forum I've been that I decided to check in out. Me and my brother are addicted to it now. That's rare since we never like the same TV shows.

1: Bro-Town - even though I don't like sheep.
2: South Park - it is straight after bro-town.
3: Beavis and Butthead - because it is still heaps funny (in a lame way).
4: The Simpsons - It is still heaps funny even after all the repeats.
5: One Tree Hill - becuase it was cool.

Here here.
I enjoy watching it when I have the time.

Just watched that episode. I didn't like it at all. Didn't make a lot of sense. Didn't find it to be funny.

Since most of the shows I watch are on hiatus or I've lost interest (Prison Break)...I picked up The Wire on DVD. I've watched two episodes of the first season so far and I'm liking it.

I might pick up Six Feet Under soon aswell.

Well for those who like Ali G. and/or Borat:
You might consider watching Little Britain (don't know when it's on in the States but just visit www.dailymotion.com and search for it). The show is politically incorrect, has very black humor and breaks you might learn some facts about britain (just listen to the narrator).

haha totally agree i live on the U.S. - Mexico border and in mexico oh man you name and they turn it into crap. the only show that i truly enjoy in spanish is the simpsons. the whole cast is great and they sound very close to the english voice actors. so homer is just as funny in both languages and they are very good at changing american jokes into more mexican jokes but some jokes need no changing at all.

but any yea i like watching Prison Break (im so freakin addicted), family guy, simpsons, jimmy kimmel live, king of the hill, craig ferguson show, ninja turtles!!! (old and new), seinfeld...

The South Park episode "Stanley's Cup" wasn't that funny. Nothing really funny happened except the parts when Stan got his bike towed and yelled "DO NOT TOW THIS BIKE! STOP , ASSHOLE!". The second was the ending. Otherwise it was a disappointing episode. Drawn Together , the show after South Park , was actually funnier.

I thoroughly enjoyed Stanley's Cup i think simply because i'm a coach of kids that age. "can i go to the bathroom? Yeah go ahead. By myself?" Also the whole bit about the coach having to cover tough subjects because the parents dont want to: WAY too close to home. Everythings subjective i guess and when you can relate, things are funnier. I really was disappointed with Go God Go being a two parter because past two parters (Cartoon Wars/Do the Handicapped go to Hell?) were so amazing.

The ending of "Stanley's Cup" is probably the oddest, most disturbing conclusion they've gone for to date. Still, it was fitting in an episode that was essentially South Park meets The Might Ducks (or any other Disney movie involving kids and sport for that matter).
