Good win, two players in the 40s, that is hard, but its ok with the wizards.

Gilbert and Antawn combined for more than half the team's points, that's absolutely mind-boggling for me since I can barely score and get over 30 with only one player in my games.

I didn't like the Stevenson for Dooling trade to be honest though. I guess I'm too big of a Stevenson fan... But then again, he'd probably be lynched by a Magic fan mob if he came back to Orlando.

Washington -- New York

Image -- Image

--------- 110 -- 103 ---------

Washington Boxscores | New York Boxscores

Kelvin Cato managed to hit crucial shots down the stretch in the last quarter to preserve the win for the Washington Wizards. The win puts the Wizards on 5 wins and 2 losses.

The Wizards were once again up at the three quarter time and held quite a lead. The Knicks challenged them from the get go and reduced the lead to 2. Gilbert Arenas and the Wizards went on a 12 to 2 run. The Game seemed in the Wizards hands but this game that we play is a game of runs. Who ever has the best or longest run will win the game. The Knicks came back once again and tied the game with 1 minute and 15 seconds remaining. Kelvin Cato then put in an important ball in with 35.4 seconds left to make the lead 3. Gilbert Arenas then Secured the game with 4 free throws.

Gilbert Arenas once again had a stellar performance racking up 33 points, 7 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals including 9 assists and 3 rebounds in the last quarter. Antawn Jamison also had another great game putting up 25 points and 10 rebounds including 16 points in the last quarter. Steve Francis and Stephen Marbury were once again standouts for the Knicks but their Field Goal percentages were really poor. Francis put up 17 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 steals and a block while Marbury added 20 points, 5 assists and 3 steals.

Good win. Arenas is playing good.

(New York Boxscores are wrong. It's some NJ box score.)

Washington -- Detroit

Image -- Image

--------- 93 -- 102 ---------

Washington Boxscores | Detroit Boxscores

Detroit defense looks the same with Ben Wallace as they only let 93 points in tonight but Poor shooting by the Wizards in the first 3 quarters cost them the game.

The Washington Wizards have slumped to 5 wins and 3 losses because of a poor shooting effort in the first 3 quarters. The Washington Wizards only managed to score 24 in the 2nd and 3rd quarters while packing on 40 points in the last to reduce the deficit from 29 points to 9 at the end of the game. Gilbert Arenas spoke to us after the game and said, "Our offense just didn't flow. But their defense was great."

Rasheed Wallace was awarded the player of the game award with 25 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 blocks and 3 steals. Chauncey Billups was important down the stretch with 30 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Gilbert Arenas once again puts up MVP like stats with 25 points with 12 in the last quarter, 7 rebounds and 11 assists. Jamison also added 22 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists.
