Does anyone else here play Guitar Hero? Just wondering if anyone plays and if they are going to pick up GH 2 tomorrow

I saw a guy playing that game in the local EB Games and it looks mad tough. You'd have to be a real GH junkie to beat it i bet.

I want it but alas, no money for PS2 or the game for that matter...i have a couple friends with ps2 and i'm trying to persuade them in the right direction

I should probably say that I pretty damn good at this game. Top 500 according to scorehero.com, beat expert easily. It's a really fun game and pretty addicting too. It just takes time so you dont have to keep looking at the guitar when you play.

these kids are idiots....lol...i rock out playing the game but i dont get all pissy about shit...its a game, and he's not even THAT good if you listen he misses tons of notes...oh well...i know i suck at the game, but i think its a game made for people with no musical talent to play guitar and that is why i love it...cant wait for GH2 so i can play free bird....lol

Got Guitar Hero II today at 10:30 in the AM.


Beat Guitar Hero II today at 3:43 PM.


Played for 4 hours straight, then took a break for lunch and came back and finished it off. (on Expert of course)

GH: II is amazing, great soundtrack and IMO a great sequel.


For real guitar players:
At my old school I had players in my hall who were afraid of playing because they thought it might create bad habits. But when they played they were generally good.

Here at UMass my roommate plays guitar and if anything this game has helped him out. He gets more ideas playing from it / hearing me play it.


I used to play the drums and love the kind of music on these two games. It's nice to feel like your playing in a band and not have to learn chords or develope calasses on your fingers. I have taken a good interest in learning to play a real guitar but for right now I'd like to pickup and play Free Bird and over 100 other songs with no issue.

I play a Gibson Les Paul classic 6-string, and a a fender squier bass (though i prefer ibanez basses) and use a line-6 POD for effects.

Played the full version for the first time today...and i'm not complaining about the soundtrack because for the most part i find it amazing....but come on Trogdor? While i love strong bad and think it is hilarious, it doesnt belong with the likes of Free Bird, or even Monkey Wrench for that matter...but from what i saw EXCELLENT sequel, and this game alone makes me want a console...

couldnt tell you, the only people who like the game that I know either love classic rock or ozzy. I've yet to see a emo kid play this (in real life, i see them in all the videos on youtube)

See Jao, whenever i'm waiting on line to play it (since i dont have the money to own it), its the emo/goth kids who play it for like 4 hours. My opinion: it gives them a rare sense of talent that they dont feel usually (even when they are truly talented at art and other things)
