Well I usually only post the standings and rankings and whatnot at the end of the month, and its nearing there. So in several games, I'll be posting that.

Hamilton Hits Shot With 0.8 Seconds to seal 2-Overtime Thriller

    November 22, 2006
    Boston Celtics – 142
    Charlotte Bobcats - 140
Click on team names for Boxscores!

Charlotte was up 79 – 64 headed into the last quarter, but slowly the Celtics came crawling back, including a beautiful block by Nazr Mohammed and Kedrick Perkins on Emeka Okafor. On several nice drives by Hamilton and Pierce, the Celtics managed to pull the game to a tie. Down 107 – 105 with just 7.2 seconds left, Mohammed managed to dunk over Cato the quarter ended 107-107. By then Okafor has already scored 32 points while West and Pierce led the Celtics with 28 and 24.

The first overtime started off with a bang as Gerald Green spun around Gerald Wallace and slammed it down with 2 hands, drawing a standing ovation from even the Charlotte fans. As much as Green and the Celtics pushed the ball into the lane, Quach and Okafor continued their scoring. Okafor had a chance to put the Bobcats up with just several seconds left in the quarter, but Dwyane Jones and Mohammed came in to combine on the block. With this the quarter ended at 124-124.

Things got off to a huge start for the Bobcats when Quach drained a shot over Wally. Green however kept on driving into the lane, drawing the 4th and 5th fouls on Cato within second. Afterwards Felton and Wally traded 3-pointers, but Quach’s three-pointer was no good and the Celtics grabbed the ball. With just 0.8 seconds left in the game, Richard Hamilton took the ball, drove into the lane, and pulled up for a short jumpshot. With only 0.3 seconds left and down 142-140, there wasn’t anything the Bobcats could do, and Boston stole the win on Hamilton’s heroics.

Despite the loss, Okafor was named the POTG with 36 points and 18 rebounds. Mohammed had his first great game as a Celtic with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

What up everyone. Just want to let you guys know this dynasty is still alive, but I've been pretty busy. Got 2 tests this coming week, and I just got back from a Ultimate Tournament down in Rhode Island (stupid 2-3 finish.

I ain't happy cause we destroyed Boston University like 14-4 and Brown B 13-3 or something.... But then we played a nail-biter with Dartmouth and lost 13-10 or something after being down huge at half.

Then went to huge party, everyone got drunk.... Brown University dorms are not that spectacular.

Today we played another huge rival, Tufts. We have never lost to them... but it seemed due time... or maybe we were just extremely hung over... but they destroyed us.... we couldn't do shit. After the embarrassing loss, we played Harvard (best in our region), and needless to say, We got smashed as well. I have no idea why.... we were playing like we were the best team (and probably were) on the first day, and just got fucked over the 2nd day.

So here comes the winter season.... Run Zoo Run.

Thanks for reading this rant.

Celtics manage to get revenge on Knicks

    November 24, 2006
    Boston Celtics – 117
    New York Knicks - 114
Click on team names for Boxscores!

The game wasn’t ultra exciting until Eddy Curry dunked on Rudy Gay. From there the dunk contest and running started. Gerald Green took off from the outside of the lane and tied the game at 110, while bringing the crowd to its feet. With 1:58 left in the last quarter though, Channing Frye was fouled, forcing himself out of the game; his replacement LaMarcus Aldridge made only ½ free throws. Later Frye was diagnosed with a leg injury and taken to the hospital. Without him, the Knicks faltered and Gerald Green sealed the game with a beautiful dunk ala Michael Jordan.

The Player of the Game was Paul Pierce with 18 points, 14 rebounds, and 6 assists. Frye was finally diagnosed with a sprained foot, and will be out for 9 days.

On a separate note, Raptors forward Ben Branch is late on his recovery, he still has about another 4 or 5 days before he will be well enough to play.
