What do you wish you had written?

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

I looked up the definition of song, and it seems you're right, but if most of Mozart's work is not a 'song' by definition, then what is it called?

They are most appropriately called pieces (of music). I'm sorry that I came off as a music major geek, but that's precisely what I am  .

Do you play piano? I've been playing for 15 years, I'm pretty damn good.

Right now I just finished the Revolutionary etude by Chopin.

 That's one hell of an etude. I really like it though, how long did it take you to be able to play it?
Oh God! I'm at least semi-literate!

Song - Most songs by 'Shihad'.
They're nothing special or genius by any means, but more to the fact that my song writing style is similar. I get envius when i enjoy their tunes, cos it's sorta like they beat me to it.

Book - Playboy.
Magazines probably don't count, but i don't know many books. The career/lifestyle that Hugh Hefner has is something that i wish was me. :P

Movie - Donnie Darko.
Their cult-like fan base says it all. The amount of creativity put into this movie was amazing.

TV Show - Jeez i dunno. Simpsons.

Song - Throw Your Arms Around Me (Hunters & Collectors)....I think that's what it's called, great song....
Movie - I'd be happy with a Fight Club/Donnie Darko/American Pschyo/American Beauty/thought-provoking movie
TV Show - Seinfeld (pure brilliance)

as for book, some recent good ones I've read have been Prey, Angels & Demons (& Da Vinci Code), etc....Ty, I own Band of Brothers mini-series in DVD boxset, I love that series, but foolishly haven't got around to reading the book....I think you might have prompted me to buy it & have some reading on my half an hour train rides to & from work....

I used to watch re-runs of M*A*S*H* when I was a kid. Not really by choice since it was on everyday and we had only like three channels out in the sticks. The theme song is gonna be stuck in my head all day now. :wall:
