Meet me at the 5th 3rd in 10 minutes"

I'm just guessing most of you have never worked as a telemarketer before. I did phone surveys for about three weeks once, and let me tell you, that kinda shit gets real old. I know its very funny and all, as a matter of fact, its hilarious. But hey, at least those people have jobs. They could be off selling drugs, or sitting at home on welfare. It's OK to fuck with them every now and then I guess, but just have the decency to say no thank you and hang up the phone.

Yeah, I knew someone was going to say this. I don't get people who get really, really pissed at them, that doesn't make any sense. I think its just the idea of someone who's a complete stranger calling your house and soliciting that makes for a perfect opportunity to have some fun.

The thing is in my experience most telemarketers call at the worst times and they won't hang up with a simple "no, not interested" most of the time. They'll keep on saying "oh, but it's a good offer sir. Sir you don't have to pay anything. Sir there is no commitment etc." Eventually you HAVE to be rude and either say "no not interested" multiple times angrily or you have to just hang up, which is equally rude I guess.

They call at the most inconvient times because that is when you are most likely to be home. They have to keep offering you stuff because it is their JOB! They get paid on commission. Trust me, they prefer it if you just say, "I am not interested, please take me off of your list. Have a nice evening, good bye." Then hang up the phone.
