What do you play as in real life?

Postby Fresh8 on Wed Nov 27, 2002 5:44 pm

Hey b/ball fans...

This is stupid but what position do you play as in basketball in real life and what other sports do you do (plus position)
I'm just curious to see what other b/ball fans like...

B/ball= Point/Shooting guard

Soccer= (it's not a pussy sport!!) Midfield

Hmmm. I don't think this is NBA Talk?

Point Guard. Think Jason Kidd.

I used to play Center, but we play a passing-rotation around the 3pnt line right now where everyone plays a different position each time u pass.

i'm in an asian league now. but since i'm 6'0 (which is pretty tall for a pinoy), i'm forced to play downlow.

i played pg/sg in high school ball
free safety in high school football
outside hitter in high school v-ball and college traveling team

B-ball, Centre on most nights, bit of PG sometimes too I guess, and yes sometimes I do swing (sg/sf) :D

In tennis I would usually play the position of being on one side of the court while the oponent is on the other.

when I was young and played soccer I used to get stuck playing in defense because the bossy kids would tell me to... In high school I played forward one year but only scored one goal in about 5 games and that was the end of my soccer career :D

Played some Aussie rules footy too, I was the tackle dummy in that. Quite fun.

Isn't this just 5 out motion? As in pass and cut?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

No its kinda different, In a 5 out motion there are alot of screens, we dont do screens, (coach thinks screens are for weak players who cant make their own moves), and the movement is different, I dont know the name of the play!

Why would you do that? I mean, if you had anything to add, I would understand...but it seems you're just acting out on the fact that God made you a nincompoop.

I'm 6'1 and I used to play as PG, and sometimes at SG, SF, and even PF and C if it was needed. I have a nice wingspan and I'm pretty strong. (Y) Maybe I lack some speed sometimes :P
