Turbo

Tue Aug 05, 2003 4:10 am

Ok, some might agree wit me some mit not, but i think there should be a turbo bar, cause if i was down in a game, i could easily com back by just taking someone like kobe for example and just rapidly press shift for my dribble moves and he would just be doing crossovers, between teh legs etc. down teh whole court than when i get in the lane i just do a 360 dunk. I think a turbo bar should be in there, so like the maxium amount of dribbles might be like 3 or 4 in a row, without letting your turbo refresh, this was what it was like in 2001, but than again 2001 different have really dribble moves besides a crossover, spin, power dribble than between your legs, etc. but you could really do that that much again cause running with turbo lowered your turbo bar too, and i think it needs to be added. also, it could work withs dunks like your not going to do a 360 windmill after you just went between your legs rapidly, did a spin, did a killer crossover and another dribble move(can't think of one) and than go up for a 360 windmill. More than likely that wouldn't happen in real life, after like 1 it happens maybe even 2 but bearly after 3 or 4. But some of the problems with the turbo is drains too quickly, and after say you are on a fast break and you a holding down turbo to say infront of all of the defenders but than turbo drains and the defender catch up and you either just get called for a charge, go to the line, miss the lay-up or dunk, or have to pull it back and set up the half-court offence. I feel that running fast shouldn't drain your turbo that quickly, but i do feel that pressing turbo should run down your turbo but that quickly if you were doing dribble move than of course it should go down but not if you are just running with turbo, so either if they make a turbo bar it should be bigger than the one on 2001, or just the same size but it doesn't go down as easily.
What doyou guys think?

i agree that if they did put a turbo bar bac in then people would stop running fast on a fast break wen they shouldnt and that is the downfall of the turbo bar. truthfully i dont want to see the turbo bar unless its implemented correctly imo

no need for turbo bar, u should use turbo when ever, but fatigue should drop quicker with the more turbo u use. 1

How about changing the nature of a turbo bar to some kind of "explosive bar"?
A player with a full explosive bar can run quickly, make powerful dunks and fancy layups. When the bar drops, the player run much slower and can make only layup.
Also, player like kobe and t-mac should have a longer explosive bar

The bar will be used to control the move of a player, so it will not duplicate with the fatigue bar(for me, a fatigue should be used to control how long a player can stay on the court)

No exposing bar...
that would mean at the end that only players like kobe or T-mac could do some extraordinary things....too bad.

A lot of player should do something unusual, something great, even the little guy that you don't know his name.

It's really important.
Otherwise you'll have the same feeling that vanished as you play nba live .

let a chance to evrybody, let the AI take care of it and a little bit of chance....?

This was mentioned a while back, but it is an important note... I think you should be able to turbo when you wished and that your turbo would last an amount in comparison to your fatigue.

The bar was a good idea and it should be brought back, but implemented a little differently. When you are fatigued, it should grow more slowly back up and last a little less time, but when you are fresh, well you should be able to run the court from end to end aka really push the ball.

Walking up the floor should accelerate the time in which the turbo bar would regenerate etc. These were all discussed somewhat briefly though.

But using alot of turbo should fatigue your player more and thus a center with high fatigue rating should be able to play for almost 45 minutes if he isn't a factor on the fast break.

They really should bring it back... But change it so that you could have more control over it. It should just be a different length for different players. AI could propably run with the sprint on all the time, but not players like Shaq...

It should represent the players size, fatigue rating and current fatigue in the game!
