NEW BREAKTHROUGH

Postby mbhinder on Fri Aug 01, 2003 11:56 am

Upon weeks of waiting for an email from a friend at ND4SPDWorld, he has updated his site with a program which lets you view EA's 3D models. This means you can see your stadium in 3D (not with the ads though since those are textures), and you can move existing textures when loading them to where they need to be in the game. This is a HUGE HUGE HUUUGE breakthrough in modding in the NBA world. There is a converter available for converting ORD and ORL files to an O format, understood-able (if such a word exists) to O-Edit.

MEANING YOU CAN ACTUALLY PUT YOURSELF EXCATLY INTO THE GAME.

This post looks similar to a post for MVP baseball

I think this post is about the potential to modify headshapes for NBA Live 2004...so before everybody in the community gets excited about editing NBA Live 2003 headshapes...

You can not use o-edit to modify NBA Live 2003's headshapes...

Edited after I initially misinterpreted the intent of this post

Maybe he's thinking along the lines for 2004 since it's in the 2004 forum?

Initially I didn't read it that way but you are probably right...
I have posted my theories about being able to use O-edit to edit headshapes in NBA Live 2004 too...but that is all they are at the moment...theories.

I thought he was claiming to have actually imported Jeaf Weaver into NBA Live when he said this:

then u can create model patches for the game. Mayby its possible to convert it to max or 3ds objects to edit them with 3d studio max .... it would realy kick ass...

I find it funny how Jeff Weaver is your friend but you can't even spell his name correctly.
