NBA Live 95...

Postby Bill Russell on Thu Nov 14, 2002 2:16 pm

I found the cd case here on my bedroom last week... Without no CD inside it... I was dying to give it a try... Man, that game kicked major ass... The cams were fantastic... The dunks, quite realistic... What about the faces...? No comments...

Yes they did, I still have that one but it's kinda obsolete compared with the new ones, hey, I love your profile pic,

That might work, but I'm not sure if there was ever a demo of NBA Live 95 available online.

I found my Live 95 cd... Couldn't get it to work though. I'm dying to get some alley-oops working with Kemp and Payton... What about the full-screen presentation of players? Yeah, I remember that... Kicked ass...

Long live Live 1995.

Yeah, I got that too  .

Also have those patches that create a bunch of seasons, patches that add championship teams, etc. That game was really good when came out in Super Nintendo,

Hey Tales, maybe you have been trying to use it from Windows, I believe it's designed to be a MS-DOS game, not windows, that might be why you can't get it to work. If you run that from Windows, it would take you to DOS automatically, knowing the new file systems, that might be a problem, not all of them offer the MS-DOS prompt anymore.

Oh yeah, remember that Steve... In fact when I played Live 1995 on my old 486 DX 4 100 mhz (LOL!) I had to press some key to edit my memory or something... To be able to run the game, back in 1995/1996. Sweet times. I played an entire season, 82 games, 12-min quarters, and the playoffs! Went like 75-7, lol, sooooooooo easy...

I don't think the game would run on Win XP... But that's not the case. I mean, the expiration date of the cd seems like it's over... (N)

(Y) Yeah, I had a system like that too, just 75 MHZ

Anyway, I don't remember if there was any expiration date for the cd, check it out cause I don't think there should be any.

The Portraits are really good there cause they used the real player pictures I believe, I got that game in a warehouse, really cheap and played it every night after work but didn't finish a full season cause these guys were always coming with new patches I wanted to try,

I have those patches in diskettes, now typing here, I've decided to burn it in a CD-RW, so I don't lose them, now that the site keeps upgrading, pretty soon we will have no 95 section at all.

lol, I was just kidding about the expiration date for the cd... I know they don't have it... I was just kidding, cos the cd is very old... almost 10 years!

Yeah, I played that game every two days... Took me like 6 months to complete the whole season & playoffs... And no special screen either... Bah, (N)

I didn't even know there were Live 1995 patches till I found this site, back in 2001... I played Live 1995 without patches...

NBA Live 95 can be a fun distraction when you've got some time to kill. Played a game today using the 1988/89 roster patch, Bulls vs Lakers. Lakers defeated me 139-136 after leading most of the game, though I did manage to pull ahead by 5 briefly in the final two minutes. But I just couldn't hold them off, and my guys were tired (I forgot that it's virtually impossible to play someone 40 minutes in Live 95 and still have them play an effective game).
