indeed. why does regal have king booker music anyway? he used it twice or something. i'd much rather he have the music he used on the last smackdown.

I just placed a pre-order down for Smackdown vs. Raw 2007 (along with NBA Live 07) at my Toys R Us. One of my coworkers, who was ringing me up, gave me a hard time about buying a wrestling game! He called me a hillbilly.

Does anyone know what rating this game will be? I assume it will be teen but when he scaned the pre-order card it came up saying it was a mature rated title.

Reminds me of the first SDvR where Batista had the Evolution theme instead of his own theme.

I'm not sure what it'll be in the States since you guys have a different rating system to us, but SDvR2006 was rated MA15+ here in Australia. All the others have been rated M15+ except HCtP which was oddly rated 16+.

Sigh... it totally sucks. Especially in terms of moves too. THQ rehashes the same shit over and over again. I can't wait the day till http://www.prowrestlingx.com comes out. I'm gonna totally jump ship.

Should be Teen.. I don't see anything in the game that should garner a Mature rating.

the ESRB in the US is too fucking conservative these days

I mean when a harmless game like Halo gets lumped into the same category as Grand Theft Auto San Andreas/Vice City, you have a problem. It should be T for Teen I don't see any reason why it would be any different from the previous Smackdown games

Anybody seen the SDvR2007 vids yet? Is it just me or did Yuke's recreated the whole Finisher Special Effects camera just for this move?
http://media.ps2.ign.com/media/820/820800/vids_3.html
The video is titled: "Viscera: This is...disturbing"

Devastating to say the least...and it clearly shows how much work Yuke's has been doing in the moves category other than introduce "revolutionary analog grappling"

that's viscera's finisher, you'd expect it to be in.

and that camera is used for all finishers. personally i hate it, there's no need to see the move 500 times.

I didn't expect Viscera to make the roster, so I certainly didn't anticipate that move in there..it's not his finisher actually, it's a gimmick move used for comic relief, sort of like the 5 Knuckle Shuffle, which is why I'm against Yuke's decision on it. I'v watched quite a bit of Viscera's matches, and he usually ends them with a Big Splash or a Sit-out Two Handed Chokebomb, which Yuke's had a good one before, but they removed it, like just about every awesome animated moves they had..

And as for the finisher camera effect, you could turn off that option. SDvR2006 had the "spin around" effect when you have a WWE! Icon stored, or Slow-mo Black and White when it's live... but imo, the SDvR2007 finisher effect looked hilarious when Viscera's move was pulled off.

Has some interesting gameplay vids :P If you watch closely at the character selection screen with Kurt Angle and John Cena, you'll notice that John Cena has 3 seperate finishers. :o

Something else came to mind when I was playing SDvRAW 2006 yesterday. While categorising the grapples as "Brawler", "Technical", "Old School," "Power" and so on has its merits it can be somewhat restricting. I'd like to be able to assign a piledriver in a wrestler's movset without being stuck with other "Old School" moves.

true.although one of the virtues of an action replay disc, is that you can hack any move nto any position. i've given london and my nitro caw both a standing shooting star press.

on that note, i have no idea how i'll survive next year on xbox 360 without a cheat disc. layer limits, crotch blurs, layer movement limits, anywhere falls, cage and hiac entrances, more than two pyro in an entrance, attribute adjustments, moveset mods, walk through walls, idiot ai...i actually can't play anymore without my hacks enabled. hell, i'd be surprised if the game even started up.

Since i dont wanna go bump up an old thread or make a new one, I figured this question could be asked in here. For some reason i feel like playing a wrestling game... Does anyone know of any wrestling games for PC? Im downloading the demo of WWE Raw right now, apparently its crap, but I dont care much for wrestling anyways, so as longs as its fun then it should be all good. Any suggestions?

There are currently no wrestling games for the PC right now, but there is one for the PC that's currently in development by wrestling fans who got sick and tired of the same gimmicky, "I don't care because you have to buy it anyways" crap shoved down their throats by THQ every year, so they decided to set out and make their own wrestling game dedicated to the less casual of fans out there (basically, this game is not meant for Cena fanboys who demand a bodybreaking damage for an F-U and want 20 different variations of it).

This game has been planned out since 2003, and around mid-2005 they finally got the blueprints laid out, the team assembled, and the funding required to make a video game, and they're currently making pretty rapid progress. This game is :

Pro Wrestling X :!:
http://www.prowrestlingx.com
:D

If you're a sucker for wrestling moves like me, Pro Wrestling X is set out to have one of the largest moveset collection since Fire Pro.. not only does it include most of the WWE and TNA moves, it has pretty much alot of moves from other independent and Japanese wrestling promotions.
http://www.yucubetoo.com/alpha.html
All these moves will be incorporated into the game, or so says the developers of Pro Wrestling X.

He's probably heavily involved in the storyline mode so it's unlikely they'll take him out at this stage of development. Christian went to TNA before the release of SDvR 2006 IIRC and he was still in the game, I'd assume the same will happen with Angle.

Yes, I knew that. ;) I'm just saying, given what happened with Christian last year and the late stage of development it's unlikely Angle will be removed from the game, especially since he's likely to be involved in one of the story arcs in a major way.

well, this has nothing to do with sdvr2007, but i figured i'd post here rather than bumping the 2006 thread.

i've put together a fantasy booking league website. i book the shows, then play the matches out in sdvr06. i then upload them to a streaming video site, and you can watch the matches and read reviews of the promos.

the site is ready to go, and ECWF debuts next tuesday night.
