Free Wakeup Call Service

In case the volume on your alarm isn't loud enough

Free wakeup calls... Seems pretty cool and could be nice for those days you have to catch a flight and want 10 alarm clocks next to your bed.

I set about 4 alarms on my phone just to make sure I wake up, for a while I was trying to be funny and setting the alarm to be Chop Suey by System Of A Down so it started with "WAKE UP!"... then I realised I was my own audience and I didn't really find it that funny to begin with.

My ex-girlfriend was a pretty good alarm clock. She was pretty creative with different ways to wake me up, unfortunately, when she was finished "waking me up" all I wanted to do was sleep again.

I guess you can't have everything.

I'd be careful with that- seems like something that might sell your phone number to telemarketers. Neat, though.

Word.

It works about 85% of the time, though.

My Nintendo DS is my alarm clock. Works great. It has this high-pitched cricket like sound and every second it gets louder and it doesn't stop. If you touch the screen and the prompt comes up to turn it off, the alarm stops for 5 minutes, so it's basically a sleep button. You actually have to turn it off for it to stop or else it won't stop, it'll go for like an hour, increasing in volume too. It's so irritating you got to turn it off.

I go with two alarm clocks, one set for 15 minutes before I need to get up on a music station, and one set when I have to get up on a sports talk station.

I wouldn't trust that Wakeup Call service with my phone number. :?

I just go with my internal body clock, if I dont wake up in time then I must have been too tired and it wasnt meant to be

If I have something really important I just use my Phone Alarm, it just keeps getting louder and louder until its stopped.

My alarm clock is set to 1130 KFAN radio (local sports radio) and it starts at 6:00am which is the beginning of the Powertrip Morning Show. I usually just lay in bed for the first segment and then get up and going. It works fine for me, I've never really had any problems waking up before.

the trick to having your alarm wake you up is to have it loud enough that it does wake you up initially, and its annoying, like a loud beep, then make sure its out of reach, so you have to actually get out of bed to turn it off.

Jae just gave me an idea.

- edit a Rage Against the Machine song, Wake Up, so that it will only contain the end part where Zach is shouting "Wake up!"
- make that edited song into a loop with the filesize enough to occupy a whole CD.
- set-up the stereo system to play that CD as its alarm.
- connect same stereo system to the karaoke component near it.
- connect stereo system to TV, and set the TV's alarm function in sync with the stereo system.
- turn the volume to maximum of all the components involved.
- wait for the fun in the morning or ungodly hour of the night.

My mom usually wakes me up , since I dont always fall asleep in the same room as my alarm clock.

I downloaded a neat program for my computer to wake me up. It doesn't always get me up though.
