I went to go see that shit tonight. The way they showed the preview of the movie made it seem like the entire movie was going to be about streetball. The movie did send out a good message to younger kids though by saying education before basketball, but you have to watch it to understand what I'm talking about. The movie was pretty low budget though, they could've kept that to themselves.

I saw 'Catch' (or 'Guoshi Wushuang') last night. I didn't expect much off it before I started watching it, but even during the opening credits, it was positively surprised. It's a great comedy/action movie about the best con artist of all time, who is rumoured to make a 'comeback', and follows the police (that are trying to figure out who he really is and catch him) and another group of con artists' (who are attempting to impress him enough so that they might get to work with him for his big heist)... Well, it's better than I make it sound, I'm sure. :wink:

I also saw 'Serenity' a few days ago, which is also quite cool. It is, in many aspects, very similar to Æon Flux. But although it is cool, it is not nearly as well produced as it could have been, nor does it manage to bring up any good questions such as Æon Flux did. Chances are you won't like it, but it you really enjoyed Æon Flux, you'll enjoy this. 6/10

. Clerks 2 wasn't outrageously hilarious , or extremely funny , but it was decent.

Decide to go on a movie watching spree so I have a list. So far on it I have watched V for Vendetta (finally) which I must say was better than I thought it would be. Also, I watched Seom ("The Isle) by Ki-duk Kim (I have a few more of his to watch).

I'll post the hit list later.

edit: Wow, I just watched Bin-jip (also known as "3-iron" and I must say it is the most beautiful film I have watched in a while. Amazing, words cannot express the impact it had on me. Not everyone may feel the same after watching it but trust me, its a good one. Fro the same director Ki-duk Kim. I have only watched this and The Isle so far (which was ok but not all that) but this one far blows it away. This one was also the one more people said was good too.

Watched V for Vendetta on DVD and I got to say it's one of my favorites of all time, mainly because of the concept and genre that I really appreciate. Hugo Weaving and Natalie Portman are great actors, and I just can't get enough of the parallels with Orwell's 1984.

The last movie I was was Little Miss Sunshine, which I found quite funny and very enjoyable. I recommend it to most people, especially the older crowd here. (Y)

Has anyone ever seen Breakfast Club? I love John Hughes' 80's films (Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Vacation,...) and this one is right up with the rest of them.

Also saw Revenge of the Nerds. A bit dissapointed, though, I expected a lot more originality.

I saw it yesterday too, too bad it was fiction. Even Donald Rumsfeld admited that United 93 was shot down.

If you guys like mystery movies like Donnie Darko or The Machinist, you guys should definitely check out "Identity". The movie is very underrated, I never heard of that movie a lot. The plot and actors in the movie are all great, i give it Two Thumbs Up (Y)

yea the ads do kinda suck but it was funny as hell the most random things happen. check it out. i saw pulse last week to and HOLY CRAP im glad i get in free to the movies cuz man it was a royal suck fest. thats why u dont let girls pick the movie.
