Xbox 360 controller on a PC

Postby -Young Buck- on Thu Aug 24, 2006 3:59 pm

Does anyone use the Xbox 360 controller for PC? I would like to know how it performs. I might be looking to buy a new controller when i get live. I have used the controller a few times, its pretty comfortable, but i would like to know if anyone has used it. How good it is, and maybe if there were any problems getting the PC to use it or anything else.

Thanks!

The Mircosoft press conference in Germany yesterday I believe announced that all X360 wireless acessories will work on PC soon. Check out the article at IGN or something.

I know the wired controller is plug and play, but I haven't used it on a PC. I'm pretty confident though the functionality and response timing would be identical to when connected to the 360. It is definately a nice controller to use, I actually prefer over the Sony equivalent.

I use it, and seriously it's the best I've used.

I also have a PS2 adapter, a modded Xbox S-controller, and a sidewinder (or some microsoft controller)

the 360 controller is worth it, but if you want to get it to work for NBA Live, check for a tutorial I posted. When you plug it in, the computer thinks the Triggers are a Joystick Axis, and you gotta make it think they are digital buttons. Very easy to do.

I have a couple more questions.

1. When you control the basketball player do you use the left analog stick or the left d pad?

2. Does the rumble feature work with pc games?

1. left analong, Dpad is used for quickplays usually

2. yup, but the game has to support the rumble feature. (Flatout, Flatout 2, Crashday, FEAR, are the ones that I can think of off the top of my head.)
Opinions are my own.
