I have continued into my second season and I am currently placed 6th. 1 win, 2 draws, 1 loss.

He told the media he would consider moving to a bigger club though recently. Makes me sad because he's my main man... Name one other person in the world named Mehmet Mehmet.

Anyway my team took out the League Two title and we've been promoted to League One. I'll let you guys know how we go in League One. We have GOT to avoid relegation!

I made no changes except that Filip Daems has now left (though he CAN be replaced even though it does hurt), and i also signed a guy i forgot i even enquired about He's a young midfielder. Cool.

Umm... i'm in a bit of a pickle here...

Somebody offered 800k for Rickie Lambert.... i countered with 2M, whatever... Then someone else offers 1.3M for him... and it wont let me reject it, or change the offer... it says i have to accept it because it meets the active release fee... and i don't want to sell Lambert, i'm doing well with him.

So how do i avoid this??

Also - Mehmet update: League One season started... Mehmet scored 2 goals early in the first half... but got himself injured. So he missed the next 2 games (we lost 1-0, then won 5-0). He'll probably miss the next few games, but we're doing alright without him anyway actually. So now we're 4th in league one with 2 wins and 1 loss, with +7 Goal difference.

I don't think there is a way to avoid it. You have to sell him.

EDIT: I played my next match against OFK Beograd and lost without putting up a fight. The final score was 2-0 thanks to Bakovic (a relative of mine) who scored both goals. Picture the first as Philip Lahm's goal in the opening match of the WC and the second goal as Schweinsteiger's (spelling?) goal in the last match for Germany. They were awesome.

EDIT EDIT: Wow, Bakovic also won the Player of the Round (He recieved 10 rating) and both of his goals were 1 & 2 as Goals of the Round. I feel so proud, even though I lost.

Plus i'm getting offers of like 2.5M for Mehmet, Singh and my awesome goal keeper... i'm thinking this team won't last much longer with these kinds of offers.

You can try to offer him a new contract without the release fee, but if that doesn't work you'll just have to lose him.

Just played a game against Nick online, Manchester United vs Barcelona... he won 5-2, it was seriously torture for me. Not only was I losing, I had 2 players injured (4 months and 1 month), I had 6 players out with injury AND the bloody highlights were slow as hell. Awell, I'll get him next time not

I'm suprised i won with an untested formation and poor defensive line (bar Puyol). But i'll take it.

Well since I now have to wait until Saturday to go out, I've been simming through FM a bit. Playing as Russia I won against Lithuania but lost against France, which basically means no World Cup. Doesn't matter, I was just waiting for a bigger team to offer me a job... a few opportunities came up, Lens offered me a job (+ a 25 million transfer fund), Newcastle United + Aston Villa offered me jobs too but I waited a bit. Then Deportivo comes in. To start I kinda ignored it because I saw Barcelona were on the brink of firing their manager, but Deportivo offer me a contract and a 45 million transfer fund

When I took over at Lazio the first thing I did was fork out 30 million for Cristiano Ronaldo, but I won't do that this time. I might buy 3 or 4 players, try to sell a few and go for there. As much as I would like a Kaka or Rooney I might leave it for now. I'm going to go for Spanish players primarily, I'll limit the amount of foreigners since I don't want to go over the Non-EU limit, might also sign 1 or 2 from Russia. Looks more enjoyable than Lazio though.

Damn, that sounds like a great deal. Spain has some great players so you should have alot of fun with that one. You can go for a couple of those Dutch players as well. ....or Moutinho from Portugal I think, he should be great about now.

Belletti, Edmilson, Van Bronckhorst, Oleguer... I can't remember who you were starting, but a combination of those would've been there.

I kick ass with Deportivo, 3-1 against Real Madrid in our first game.

Real Madrid seems to always be in shambles on this game, dunno whats up. Cant believe an upstart manager like you beat them.


I think I might start up my old Barca game just so I can get hired again by another side. For now though I am still enjoying Brazil although out of the blue I have a 10 point lead in the league. Games are still competitive though and I have a nice stretch coming up where I may lose a couple.

1-1 draw with a surprisingly good Athletic side. I've signed a few players already, gotta wait until the transfer window opens though. The team has an ok mix of old/young players, but mostly old, and mostly not quite good enough to be starting for this team. Ironically, when Deportivo signed Babel from me I signed Barreto to replace him, when Deportivo sold Babel to Real Zaragoza they signed Barreto from me to replace him

Anyways, some future signings + targets...

Oskitz (9.75 million from Valencia)
Fills a need, and he's still young. Goes with my policy of buying young potential Spanish superstars.

Antonio Floro Flores (1.9 million from Hertha BSC)
Had this guy in my (very) short lived stint with Hertha. He was transfer listed and in the reserves but scored 5 goals in 2 games for me so I figured he could be a bargain buy.

Giorgio Chiellini (4 million from Strasbourg)
Since the new Strasbourg manager (Ian Dowie) is a complete pleb, he's not playing Chiellini at all despite him being one of the best players there, so I signed him since my only WBL is like 50 years old.

Igor Fomin (2.5 million from Lokomotiv Moscow
I had him in my Russian team, in his first game he had 2 assists and in the match against France he had 1 before getting injured, so I got him cheap.

I've also signed about 15 Spanish youngsters aged beween 15-17. I'm still looking out for more Spanish players but their clubs really don't wanna let them go, some potential future transfers...

Diego Capel (8 million bid rejected)
I'm thinking about selling my current left sided midfielder purely to buy this guy, he costs a fortune.

Roger (Real are asking 17 million)
This would be my "major" signing, but I'm pretty sure I won't do it. He's barely playing for Real and he's a bit slow by the looks of things.

Francisco Javier Tarantino (8 million for this guy)
Yet ANOTHER guy from Athletic, they have a kick ass team but are doing horribly. One of the best defenders in the league.

At the moment, I'm leaning one of two ways...

21 million for Diego Capel + Iraola
16 million for Tarantino + Amorebieta (another defender)

We'll see, or I'll just spend all of the money on Fernando Torres.

Wow, youve been pretty active. I like the 4 mil for Chiellini, I see guys not on his talent level going for twicwe the price.

Also, I wouldnt worry too much about Roger's pace since he wouldnt be running end to end on every possession. Also, that will go up once he starts training and playing for you and I have found 15 to be decent enough to get enough space to finish off breakaways. 20 for first touch, finishing, off the ball, composure, heading and long shots is good for 50 goals a year I believe.


edit: Woohoo, I waited and waited.....and waited, then man utd hired me as manager. Time to get the ball rolling.

edit: just went back to my Sao Paulo game and the funniest thing happened. I was just sitting there reading the text and I see "Evaldo landed a fine left hook on Fred." ...obviously he got a red but its the first I have ever seen the text.

I wanted to buy an established Spanish international, someone fairly young that I needed... Oskitz is in the national team but has only played one game, and with an ageing defensive midfielder that isn't much good, I came across Antonio Vera from Betis. He's only 23 but has 12 caps for Spain and is one of the best midfielders in the league. Strangely, I made a bid of 9 million for him, they countered it with 3.5 million + a transfer listed Brazilian midfielder I have called Tales (of all names). So I went for it, and he signed...

I've gotta wait until January for all of these to go through, so I might lose a few in the meantime. I went for Roger but Real were being weird, I even offered 50 million (I don't have it, but just to test) and they rejected it so I used FM Scout to see exactly how highly they rate him, and I found out he's the only player in the entire game that has a potential rating of 200... so I can't see him going anywhere for now. Btw, they would accept 72 million for him.

Other way around lol, I gave them Tales in exchange for that other guy. I transfer listed him mostly because he has poor physical attributes, and he's a Non-EU guy and I can only have 3.

I decided to bite the bullet and buy a HUGE name, so I made a bid of 28 million for Kaka, with AC Milan coming back and asking for 34.5 million. I upped the bid, sold one of my guys for 6 million to try and lower it somewhat, and he's now in the team. Not long after dadamafia was done telling me I was insane Kaka scores a goal from 25 yards in the 5th minute of the game, so that was cool. One of my other signings Antonio Floro Flores, who was transfer listed, playing in the reserves and only going for 1.9 million at Hertha has 4 goals in 2 games with 2 man of the match awards

I think you shoulda kept Tales. He coulda sat out a year or so (reserves) and in no time you may hear he has Spanish citizenship (i think it takes 2 years). You coulda also trained him into a DM if you liked.

Btw hows the Kaka experiment going. For that money he better get a goal and an assist every damn game.

The reason he was transfer listed is because he was bitching about not playing, Vera destroys him in all attributes (apart from the first few, but still) and is already a DM + Spanish citizen lol.

Kaka's had 2 games, he didn't score or get an assist against Valencia but he did get an 8 rating.

All you guys talking about spending 20 million, 30 million etc. I only have a 100k transfer budget.
