Internet Explorer 7 (beta 3)

Postby cyanide on Fri Jul 28, 2006 9:31 am

Has anyone tried it yet? Some pages it loads slowly, others blazing fast - way faster than I imagined. The design is very nice, though I think the major bug it has is that I can't tab at all (though it's supposed to). When I disable tabs, it allows me to customize more stuff (RSS readers, favorites shortcuts, etc) which is retarded.

It's still a beta version, and I'm probably not gonna use it unless I figure out if tabs do work, but the speed is appealing.

I have been using the first beta version, and its pretty good. The text is more sharper on websites. The idea of tabs is cool(Y)

I've used it a lot, I have it installed. I use Firefox the most though... Tabs work fine for me, you have to click the tiny tab to the right of the tab you're using.

Is it very different from IE6?

I like IE6. Well, let me put it this way, I'm used to IE6.

Yeah, my friend introduced me to Mozilla and I've never switched back. It blocked popups effectively, allowed tabbing, and a couple other more features that I don't use, but that IE6 didn't have. Overall, I'd recommend Mozilla.(y)

Because I've had no problems with it? If it isn't broken, don't fix it they say. All my pop ups are blocked, it never crashes on me and I've used Firefox at my brother in law, but the tabbing thing just bugs the shit out of me.

There, was that a good enough answer for you?

Same here, I used IE at first, then I discovered Netscape and it was cooler, but Firefox is even better.

I'll stick with Firefox for now...maybe when I'll get a Vista-based computer I'll switch back to IE, but I don't know. Firefox has demonstrated to be better than IE in every way.

I use both (IE6 and Firefox)but a few months back I switched to IE7 and it had a few flaws so I had to go back to 6. Certain sites just would not work on it, most importantly one that was associated with a job I had at the time.

It has the nice tabbing features, its basically a lot like firefox except without the neat search bar that allows you to search with a ton of different engines.

Yeah, if you love wasting RAM, firefox is the perfect program for you.

But really, who cares... its inexpensive, most people have well over 1 GB.

Opera is easily the most superior browser, even if 9 has some...issues...to say the least.

IE7 Beta 3 is easily better than Firefox 1.5. On par with the 2.0 Beta.

IE7B3 is a major improvement over the first two betas. There are a couple of killer bugs though, try adding a favorite that already exists, canceling and then trying to rename it. It gets owned.

I don't know how Firefox has been absolutely demostrated to be better, the thing has memory and security leaks out the wazoo.

It's my RAM & I'll waste it if I want to.

But on a serious note, bugger off. If it doesn't bother me in any way, why are you getting so worked up about it. If it was such a RAM killer, I'd have noticed it by now. Did you completely miss my above post of how the laptop works flawlessly or did you just have to get that generic post out that badly you forgot to read?

I tried Opera last year, and I just love the speed of Opera, but as for compatibility with some webpages and missing features that Firefox has, it wasn't enough. Firefox 2 will be coming out soon, so it should be great.

I suppose I did since you don't have a single post in this thread that mentions anything about a laptop except for said post which I am quoting.

hm. i used to be a IE devoted person who really disliked Firefox.

After getting my laptop however i realized for some unexplained reason my IE doesnt show images on the net clearly, and due to the stripped background on nlsc it would take literally 5 minutes to load a single page on ethernet.

I switched to firefox and those problems havent been back. I will look to probably trying the new IE7 just cause that old IE problem might be fixed.

You fucking idiot? What the fuck? Did your mom crack you upside the head again with a baseball bat that you're spewing out that bullshit?

I wasn't talking to you in the first place you grimey piece of shit. Besides you dumb cunt germ, can't you see I quoted HIS line and not yours?

Let me simplify it:

I didn't even see your fucking posts to even bother replying to them. All my responses about "wasting RAM" have been in response to datyellowguy.

Jebus, I knew you were dumb, but you're proving to be dumber than a dumb person can be.

Anyways, now I really need a break from this place, some folks are just getting more fucked up by the minute...can't have that rub off on me.
