Damn, 62% percent from the field, that's insane realistically, but in Live I guess it is a pretty easy task. I'm glad that you tweaked the minutes around because you've gotten pretty good results.

Kobe scoring 48 of the team's 79 points doesn't come off as a suprise to me...

Nets record their first defeat
[Nets Boxscore] [Jazz Boxscore]

This match was played against the Utah Jazz.

We should've won against a depleted Jazz team, but we didn't and that's what makes this loss even more suffering.

Nenad Krstic was our top point scorer finishing off with 25 points while on the other side the young man Williams finished off with 29 points.
Vince Carter had 19 points and finished the game off with 8 assists, one more than Jason Kidd who scored 16 points.

Comeback against the Knicks
[Nets Boxscore] [Knicks Boxscore]

This really was an awesome comeback. After being beat in the first two quarters, the Nets really put up a fight in the second half outscoring them in both quarters. After the 3rd had finished the Nets had crawled their way back to make the score 69-71 and in the fourth, the Nets showed what they really had scoring 34 points to the Knicks' 11.
All the players were extatic after the game as they should be after providing the fans from both teams with a match to remember.

Richard Jefferson was named Player of the Game after scoring [24 points], having the most assists [6 assists] and grabbing the most rebounds [8 rebounds].

Injury Report

After the game Jason Collins was declared 100% fit for the next match against Seattle.

Nets Sneak Home
[Nets Boxscore] [Sonics Boxscore]

In what proved to be an exciting encounter against the Sonics, the Nets squeezed through home to record their fifth win of the season.

Jason Kidd won Player of the Game with his 28 points & 9 assists which helped the Nets in the last quarter.
Nenad Krstic had another good performance scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 2 blocks.

The Nets are now 5-1 for the season with their next opponent being the Raptors who they should defeat.

-

Sorry for the lack of depth in the recaps, but I couldn't be bothered writing up another massive recap. I will play the next game against the Raptors as usual.

Carter seems to be sucking lately.... Hopefully that is a sign that the Nets won't kill the Raptors like they did last time around.

Nets Cannot Convert

The Raptors were hyped up for this match at home and it showed on the court when Krstic got rejected 3 times in the first quarter by the one and only Chris Bosh!
Vince Carter was forced off after he couldn't continue showing signs of weakness from his previous injury. Barett from the Raptors injured, what looked like, his knee and his got replaced aswell.
The Nets had to lift in the 2nd as they were down by 7 points, 27-20.

It was a good start for the Nets as Morris Peterson went down with a injury to his arm and it gave the rookie Joey Graham a chance to play. We were then informed that Peterson indeed was out for the game which was a good sign for the Nets.
The Nets came back within 1 point after a 9-1 scoring run which Richard Jefferson contributed alot scoring 7 of those 9 points. Although costly turnovers let the Raptors extend their lead once again with Vince Carter's shattering dunks against his old team meaning nothing.
Chris Bosh was an unstoppable force in the paint contributing very well, both on offense and denfense.
The score at the half 46-39

Players of the Half

When the third started, the Nets went back to their starting line-up to see if they could cut back the Raptors lead which extended greatly in the 2nd quarter and it helped with the Nets intercepting and forcing turnovers on a few plays to narrow the score down by 3.
Richard Jefferson was the main standout stealing the ball twice in the third and having a major part in the scoring department. Jason Kidd also played a huge role dishing out numerous assists to his teammates, but it was not enough as the Raptors starting to fire up again thanks to Bosh who jumped like an animal to grab the rebounds aswell slamming it down on the offense.
The Raptors were in front after the third, 67-59.

In the fourth, it all changed as the Nets came back [once again] being behind by one point to the credit of Richard Jefferson and Jason Kidd. Jefferson hit a three to start off the last quarter and Kidd forced the turnover twice, the first time setting up Jefferson for the dunk and the other scoring an easy layup on the break.
This looked as though the Nets were going to make a great comeback.
The Nets took the lead for the first time of the match with none other than former Raptor Vince Carter flying high and dunking it over Barrett and then the very next play he hit a three pointer making the score 71-69.
Vince Carter was finally replaced giving Antoine Wright the chance to shine.
The Nets just kept building on this lead forcing the Raptors to take difficult shots making the score 78-71, but, as usual, the Raptors bounced back and Chris Bosh made a three point play tieing it up 78 a piece.
The Nets starting making stupid shots and the Raptors converted. There was something missing from New Jersey tonight and they didn't play very well as a team.
Raptors win 84-78.

Injury Report

The injury that Vince Carter sustained a while back, which hasn't given him the oppurtunity to play how he wants, is now 100% healed.

Well, even though I'm supportive of your dynasty, I have to root for the Raptors although I do admit that the Jefferson slam looks pretty good over Peterson.

 @ the Raptors signing Ebi and starting that piece of shit Eric Williams over Graham.

Yeah, but they still got the win.

Yeah I know, the bench was hopeless.

Nets Comeback Not Enough

The Nets suffer their second straight defeat infron of their fans against Cleveland.

LeBron James was the standout player of the game scoring 36 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks in his player of the game performance.

The Nets gave a late surge in the last after being down 85-69 at the start of the fourth and coming oh so close to winning which would've made it one of the best comebacks of the NBA. There were some notable players for the Nets which include, Nenad Krstic who scored 26 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and picked up 5 blocks. Jason Kidd finished with 17 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, 3 steals and a block. Vince Carter scored 23 points, picked up 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals, but the main standout for the Nets was Richard Jefferson who shot 12-16 from the field and 2-4 beyond the arc. He scored 30 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, 5 assists and steals.
Even after such great performances from some of the players, the Nets couldn't convert.

The team will be looking to make some trades in the coming days mainly because of poor performance both on and off the court.
