because usually it would end up with him winning at the end of the feud. A he had different contracts in his career. Some ofthem didn't have the creative control clause.

then koberulz isnt right, because the fued might cintinue
Mon Jul 17, 2006 9:44 pm
not unless it goes to a brooke-on-a-pole match at unforgiven.
no, not randy orton's pole.
Tue Jul 18, 2006 11:22 am
orton will win this. Hogan has nothing to gain by winning. he needs to put over orton so he can go on and face HHH at survivor series
Tue Jul 18, 2006 11:50 am
Hogan didn't have anything to gain by defeating HBK at Summerslam last year either, but he did.
Tue Jul 18, 2006 12:22 pm
HBK isnt the legend killer. how is orton gonna be a legend killer if he doesnt defeat the best legend of them all. put two and two together. if he doesnt beat hogan orton should never call himself a legend killer again.
Tue Jul 18, 2006 1:03 pm
He didn't beat Taker so he can't really be called a legend killer

I'm quite aware of Randy Orton's gimmick. But HBK is still more or less a fulltime competitor (or was at this time last year) whereas Hogan was and remains someone who'll make an appearance every now and then. I thought HBK should've won that one, especially after the way he carried that feud, not to mention the match.
I don't think anyone's questioning Orton's "Legend Killer" status and I doubt that would change if Hogan went over. In reality, it can already be questioned since:
1. Most of the legends he's beaten are in their 50s at least and well past their prime, nowhere near the athletic level of someone in their early 20s.
2. Some of the legends he claims to have "killed" weren't even beaten in matches; they were just RKO'd or punched out.
3. As Null mentioned, Taker prevailed in that feud and the two pinfall victories Orton scored weren't clean.
4. No matter what victories Orton may hold over them, their past accomplishments cannot be erased...just like real sports.
That of course doesn't really matter since the whole "Legend Killer" angle is classic cocky, arrogant heel schtick. He has tainted victories over various past greats as well as one who remains semi-active, he carries on like he beat them in their prime and didn't even wrestle some of them. That's what heels do, their characters remain just as cocky no matter whether they've won ten matches in a row or lost ten matches in a row. Orton's character won't be too greatly hurt if he doesn't go over Hogan (or if Hogan ultimately triumphs in the feud) or he doesn't go over clean.
But my original point wasn't that Orton shouldn't go over, simply that it doesn't mean Hogan will necessarily agree to do the job. It would have made more sense for HBK to go over last year as the fulltime performer and he did not. Orton's the fulltime performer this time around and he's even younger and still on the rise so it makes more sense for him to go over but that doesn't mean it'll go down that way.

hogan's ego is too big for him to ever job at a PPV, even though there is no way in hell hogan should win the match. there is also no way the feud is going to go past summerslam. randy orton, like shawn michaels, will be forced to job.
and i don't think i have ever seen hogan lose, and he sure as hell hasn't had the creative clause in his contract for his entire career. go figure.

The only ones I can remember in the last five years are a title match to Undertaker in 2002 and that match that saw him "fired" and come back under a mask as "Mr America".

Jarett bashed a guitar on his head in TNA. Well they just showed a video of it in TNA since the Hogan appearance didn't pull through. They just passed it off as Hogan being afraid to come to TNA because of Jarett

go figure. a title match (which he needs to lose), and some retirement match...even after winning the initial retirement match at wrestlmania......where was the retirement match he lost? raw or something? or was it on ppv?

I think it was a PPV, possibly Backlash since he prevailed at WM19 in the match with McMahon. Truth be told it wasn't a terrible match, probably because the storyline leading up to it was pretty good and the match itself was violent and bloody with a couple of big spots.
Thu Jul 20, 2006 3:12 pm
Hogan needs 1 more title run
not

After seeing what Brooke wears in public with Hulk, I'm pretty sure that the whole 'Hogan Knows Best' thing is fake. Plus I read that one of the guys who asks her out was actually Harry Smith, son of Davey Boy whos also in the indies...or I think he's in OVW now

fake?!?!!?!?! really?!?!?!?!?! i never would have guessed [/sarcasm]

--As first reported on WWE Mobile Alerts, Bobby Lashley is unable to compete in this Sunday's Great American Bash. WWE physician Dr. Ferdinand Rios told WWE.com, "During his annual exam, Bobby Lashley was found to have elevated enzymes of the liver; therefore, he is not cleared to wrestle until further evaluation."
As a result of this breaking news, the Triple Threat Match for the United States Championship at The Great American Bash has changed. U.S. Champion Finlay will now defend the gold against William Regal in a one-on-one match.
EDIT:
We are still not done with card changes for the Great American Bash
The story is all being tied together regarding WWE's decisios today. The shows were canceled because Vince McMahon made the call early in the day that Big Show will replace Great Khali on Sunday, against The Undertaker, in the Punjabi Prison match. Khali also has a diseased liver and is expected to be taken off the road.
smackdown is screwed now....
Sat Jul 22, 2006 10:46 pm
How much alchohol and 'roids these guys taking? Damn....
Sat Jul 22, 2006 11:04 pm
WWE definitely needs to end the brand split...
Sun Jul 23, 2006 12:18 am
true. they have what, five smackdown wrestlers?
in other news, the report on khali is probably a fake. WWE.com has no reference to it, nor have they removed him from the GAB card on their GAB page. bobby lashley has been reported on the front page & removed from the GAB page.

I watched WWE Heat at my cousins house to check out what's been going on and boy was that funny shit when Triple H and Michaels smacked out the Spirit Squad.
Shane is a pussy... DX rule.
Sun Jul 23, 2006 8:06 pm
DX is funny, period. i've actually been taping every RAW, i'm putting all the DX segments together on a DX return DVD...or five hundred, depending on how long they stick around.
Sun Jul 23, 2006 9:57 pm
I hope HBK changes his mind about the DX stuff. Perhaps if they lighten up on the sexual innuendo and focus more on the kind of stuff they did on the latest RAW he'll feel more comfortable with it. It's definitely the best thing going on at the moment. HHH has been very entertaining as a face again. I know he's a fantastic heel but his brand of bad guy schtick had become a little tired.
