wouldn't it have to be realeased after october 31st or whenever the acually nba game games start(not preseason) so they have acurate rosters? even the great patch makers can just do roste rupdates but still

It should be but it never is. Plus us NBA Live fans can't wait that long

October 7th is the latest date from EA, but of course that's subject to change.

Wed Jul 16, 2003 6:39 pm

But EA usually releases the games... A game that get delayed like two weeks, please. THAT'S NOT EVEN A DELAY!

Take a look at some eternity projects like Moo3 was and Black&White was etc. They are delayed. If Live is coming out next year, well then you should think that it's been delayed.

EA games have never been delayed... I'll say it again, a couple of weeks push back is not a delay.

Besides, the roster cut-off date is usually in September or even late August (as was the case for the console version of NBA Live 2003), so it really doesn't matter whether the game is released early or late October.

I hate that hte game is released at the start of the season... Cause look at Yao Ming last season... In the game he was rated 79, and averages 6 PPg, yet in the league like 22 games in he started to be a superstar! You don't get things like that in the NBA games... Thats just a small gripe

good point icebane. i remember nba 2k series used to be released in march. just in the thick of the nba season.. and the cut off date for them was the actual nba trade deadline...but now the 2k series relases its game near the beginning of the season

In Brazil the Live Series always released in November, but doesn´t matter it´s a import question because the game don´t have a portuguese version. And nobody likes the ratings of NENE, of course the only brazilian player in NBA(until the next season)

Yao Ming and Nene Hilario were still quite good in Live 2003... It's hard to predict how a rookie will do, but who was the most underrated rookie in Live 2003! Could it be Amare (overall 74) and not even a big dunker. And he slammed the living daylights out the whole season.

He was 10th pic of last summers draft or was he ninth... But anyway... This is what Live drafts need. The top three pics aren't always the best players coming out of the draft. There are players that just breakthrough and dominate. Wasn't Arenas a second round pic? And now he's one of the top point guards around there. This is what Live needs... The rookie drafts are too rigid and you can't get a decent player out of the top 20.

2003 came out on nov.7. and now their tellin us 2004 will be released on oct. 15? thats a buncha bull crap if you ask me

Tue Jul 22, 2003 5:31 am

yea the date always gets pushed back but if it did come out on the 7th would the rosters be the same as if it were to come out in early nov.?

Tue Jul 22, 2003 6:19 am

They usually put up the rosters in the game in september to early october. And I don't think the release date change would change the rosters.

It gets pushed back a couple of weeks, but I say again... A couple of weeks is no delay. A quarter would be a delay. A couple of weeks is just semantics.

the 2K series was never released in March...the PS2/Xbox/GC version of 2K2 were released later than the DC version because they had to do the ports while also waiting for the Xbox to come out...if that's what you're talking about...
