I'll take you up on that bet

As I've said before...

DANet wrote:As the games keep getting bigger (and better (Y)) they take up more space. Madden and FIFA already come on 2 CD's and it is confirmed that the NHL series is coming out on 2 CD's for PC this fall. EA has reached the point where each year they must remove features/graphics in order to add new features and still make the game fit on one CD...

The vids are really good... I like the animations and the gameplay, the developers really slowed down the tempo...

Yeah, the guy playing just keeps getting 3 seconds violations, Coco, it kinda pisses me too...

Live is shaping up to be a very good game... Let's see where we will be in 3 months...

Danet,
Madden 2004 PC and Fifa 2004 PC are coming out on 2 CD's? You've got a link on that?

Hmmn..I 'd like Live to come out on 2 CD's but let's wait and see

The 2 guys need to stop talking and play the game, take better shots!

yea madden and fifa are coming out on two cds. fifa came out on 2 cds last year as a matter of fact and since they are adding so many new features and authentic courts and even oldshcool courts i would figure live will come on 2 disks also. hardly a big concern though. i just really want to get that game in my hands 2 disks or 1.

How does 2 cds work? I never knew it was possible--1 cd to install and 1 to actually play?

You install with both and play with the other. Some games require you to switch CD's during gameplay when you for example, go to a new level. I have one old game that I never really liked (I got it on my birthday) that had 4 CD's, I believe it was called Traitor's Gate.

Madden and FIFA are already on 2 CD's for 2003...the NHL series will come on 2 CD's starting with NHL 2004. If you check out this interview with the producer of NHL 2004 he says "We are also delivering the game on 2 CD’s for the PC"...

cocobee wrote:How does 2 cds work? I never knew it was possible--1 cd to install and 1 to actually play?

The 2 CD's are only required for game installation...once the game is installed you run the game off one CD as we've always done in the past. Once the game is installed the CD is essentially only used for copy protection anyway...there will be no need to swap CD's...

I am stating information to show how I formed my opinion that NBA Live 2004 will come on CD's. I don't know for sure...

I'd really be happy if i could create a dunk and have 20 blocks per game, no defense, run-and-gun all the time, the same old franchise mode....oohh, that would be very cool, cause i could create my own dunks!

sight.....

:?

i didnt tell that is most imprtant thing ,did i ?,but it could give to the game much more realistic dunks and its very fun feature and not ewerybody
wanted to play only sim ,players need to play some arcade as well when the usual game starting to bored ,oh when you could change duks game could look fresh(and more Realistic!!) as i said not everybody got console ,and on pc we havent got street or anything like it ,enough?
just saing that ea makeing not too good animation of dunks
i i would like to create my own and that shoulb be a option no necessity
i dont understand that critisism of this idea
oh and ass well pass and move creator would be nice

Thanks Yohance for the link! Man I was really impressed with the new freethrow meter, a little change from the standard T Meter. This does make a little more sense as when you shoot freethrows you should be looking towards the rim and backboard, not off to the side. The game is also more slowed down due to the bumping, hopefully these bumps don't translate into stealing the ball by just over using bumping. Overall I can't wait till Live comes out! One quick question, would you all recommend paying to play online, is it worth it?

Thanks for the link man! Well, it's DEFINITELY a step forward to the right direction, or at least it SEEMS like it, but for me, the players still move too fast... I mean they change direction in such a quick way, it's not really realistic. But I'm looking forward to trying the demo before I buy the game
