I just came back from the Twins game tonight and that was one hell of a game! Johan Santana was simply dominating. He made guys like Manny and Ortiz look silly out there. He had 13 strikeouts in 8 innings pitched. The game went into 12 innings and the Twins won on a walk-off grand slam by Jason Kubel. That was a great game and KG and his wife, Brandi, were there, too!

Did you guys see the classy Ozzie Gullien last night? He made his 25 year old rookie CRY in the dugout because he wouldn't hit a batter with the ball. What a fucking classless punk. I'd love to see air gordon try to defend this now. Don't give me that crap "un-written rules" and how Ozzie is an "emotional guy". He attacked his own player in the dugout in front of everyone because he got the batter OUT instead of beaming him. What a douchebag.

Don't know but after the game the kid got sent back down to the minors. :|

I have no problem with Ozzie , I find his antics hilarious...it's good to have an outspoken manager who talks about A-Rod and his confusion on whether to go to the Dominican or USA team during the WBC. (Y)

1. AJ didn't get hit twice on purpose. Maybe AJ wouldn't have gotten hurt if he didn't stand to freaking close to the plate.

2. Ozzie shouldn't have sent him in to hit the guy in the first place.

3. When he didn't hit the guy he shouldn't have taken him out and made a big scene in front of everyone. The kid looked awful.

4. Don't lie about what you did in the post-game press conference. He spewed out garbage.

Okay, no reply so I assume my interpretion of the situation is correct.

The Twins face the Astros tonight (Radke vs. Oswalt) and I hope the team can win 2 out of 3. The Twins really have been rolling too bad Chicago and Detroit never lose a freaking game.

From my point of view it looks like he completely snapped on a rookie because he couldn't hit a batter. I know he came up with some bullshit excuse about why he took him out but we all know that isn't true. He practically made the kid cry in front of everyone. It was a classless move by a manager.

This is turning into an Ozzie guillen sticks his foot in his mouth again thread. Lets get back to baseball, Well the Tigers finally lost a game yesterday. The last week they put a severe whoopin on the cubbies and brewers. I watched them on WGN against the cubs and their announcer were left speachless by the Tigers power surge. It was great!

Well, Ozzie Guillen is an idiot and it really pisses me off that White Sox fans and the organization stick up for this guy. Sure, he's a great baseball manager but this guy is a jerk and a hothead. I wish the White Sox would do something about it because it really is representing the White Sox the wrong way. They are a great team and is looking to repeat and all everyone is talking about is Ozzie, Ozzie, Ozzie.

I don't know how you can call that guy a "nice guy".

Maybe Ken Williams is the same way. He did go on a tirade over Frank Thomas that didn't seem too professional for a gm. If anything will be done about Ozzie, fine or whatever, it will have to come from MLB and not the sox.

Riot, you can't even pretend you'd be this hostile to Ozzie if he weren't the manager of a team you already hated. I think i've known you long enough to know that calling someone a fucking fag doesn't really upset you that much. Especially a guy like Moronatti. Ozzie was just saying he had no backbone because ever since he ripped Ozzie for going off on Tracey he hasn't come back to the clubhouse. He apologized for using the term fag, but he didn't mean anything by it. Same thing as calling him a pussy.

The Sox are the best team in the majors, without question. Our offense is incredible, and when it isn't, our pitching staff steps up its game to exremely high levels. See todays win, (we get 1 hit and win the game.) That's right, 1 hit, and we win. That's how damn good we are. 8-)

OH MY GOD!!!

I can't believe you actually believe that bullshit Ozzie said. How calling someone a fag means they lack courage in Venzeula. That is funny. He's lived in America for two years and he has called someone that word before, too. He knows what it means in America and if he wanted to say lacks courage he should have just said that.

I call people fucking fags on here all the time. However, you can't go out in public as a big figure and call someone that. It's stupid and it's ignorant for Ozzie to say that. I can't understand why guys would even defend him as a person. He's a horrible person. Great manager but horrible person.

what is this- the Ozzie Guillen thread? lol

a few points to hit:

ole English... not much of an accomplishment when you beat the Cubs. they suck ass. I'll give it up to the Tigers for playing some good baseball. But they don't scare me after watching the Sox take care of them in both their series. lol so many choke jobs in the most recent one. plus their record against the AL elite stinks

as far as the Thomas situation- much of it is HIS fault. Thomas was the one who first badmouthed the Sox once he got to the A's. the Sox did him a big favor last year- Thomas had no business being on the team, let alone batting the 3rd spot when he was healthy.

but what ticked off the Sox organization was Thomas disloyalty. Kenny Williams was backing up the owner Reinsdorf, who gave a lot of money to Thomas after Thomas lost a lot of $ as a result of a failed music business adventure. it's not a big story nationally but a lot of people know locally know about it.

as far as Mariotti, this will be my last post about him- he's had a hostile relationship with Reinsdorf and the Sox for quite some time. it's a neverending fight...

now for Riot...
i know Ozzie is a "nice" guy . I've met him in person when he was still a player. he came off as "nice"- he was swarmed by kids, including me, for autographs and he got as many in as he could. i couldn't understand what he was saying but he had a smile on face and was happy to sign autographs

White Sox fans will stick up for Ozzie & Kenny because they brought a championship to Chicago, gets the players to play hard & the "right" way, and isn't afraid to let them know if they aren't doing that

Now while Ozzie's style is not liked by some, it's effective and successful... and many managers share this style. look around the NBA and MLB- almost all the teams had coaches that are hardasses/not "player" type coaches

and the funny thing is- Ozzie isn't a that big of a jerk to begin with. He could be a hardass but he doesn't pull players by their necks/jerseys, doesn't punch out players, etc like other hardass type coaches. and he's not a criminal- hasn't been accused/charged with some senseless crime like rape, domestic abuse, etc

I don't advocate some of Ozzie's loudmouth behaviour such as calling someone a faggot or whatever. It sucks that we live in a time where political correctness is en vogue but sometimes he does need to tone it down about that stuff.

as far as the attention he draws to himself... it's a positive thing for the team. The Sox are winning so it's not really a big story for the media. But the media more or less thrives on negativity so this whole thing is overblown. There are some other important issues- such as Buehrle's contract, Brian Anderson & Uribe sucking at the plate (but not recently ), the team's ordinary record against lefties. But instead of the media focusing on that/putting pressure on the team, they just want to talk about Ozzie. the players are allowed to take care of business while their manager deflects the criticism

this is probably the last time i'll be talking about Ozzie in this regard. if you don't like him, fine lol but as Indy said, if he was managing your team, you'd love him

As you said, if he was managing your team you would love him. But if he was on a divison rival you would hate him too. Ok thats the end of that for me. You are right about the Tigers though. They haven't proven anything against the top teams. But as long as they keep beating the living shit out of the bad teams we'll be in it for a while.

Big test for the Tigers this weekend against the Cards. Gotta hold par with those damn sox. air gordon, any trade rumors going on with the sox? All I heard was some talk about Griffey. All we hear in Michigan is about Smoltz but the only way the Braves would give him up is for Zumaya and that ain't happening.

haven't heard anything but you know Kenny Williams is a very aggressive GM. He already got that Riske guy to help out the bullpen but i'd be surprised if that was his last move. he's traded for Carl Everett 2yrs in a row. maybe he's aiming for 3 lol

that was the most defeated sounding post, riot. you should go get your hair and nail done with gardenhire
