I hate Burger King commericals and Taco Bell commericals. Those are awful.

I dislike the Nacho Libre and Fast and the Furious : Tokyo Drift movie commercials. Both do not look interesting at all. First of all , Jack Black in Nacho Libre has one of the worst Hispanic accents I have ever heard. The movie , from the previews and commercials , does not look funny at all. Maybe if Jack Black used his real voice , it would be slightly funny but if he went the whole movie with that phony , poorly-done accent... (N)

And the Fast and the Furious : Tokyo Drift is just as bad. Someone , I think Jae , asked "who cares about drifting"...not me. I don't care about cars racing in Tokyo and "drifting". At least they don't have actors with horrible fake accents.

I agree with the Fast and the Furious commericial. The coolness of the movie looks really forced and cliche, especially now that Bow Wow is starring in that movie.

It's funny..cause i felt the same way about the first fast and furious movie. It looked quite forced and contrived..but it was actually good. This one will have a hard time matching that success...not cause the movie is worse..but because people have seen this kinda thing before now. Having Bow wow in this movie will attract the kiddies who think he's "cool" to the movie.

It's so freaking stupid. It doesn't explain a lot of things and I don't see the point of this commercial :x

That commerical is soooooo bad.

My least favourite commercial is the NBA gear one they've been showing throughout the playoffs. The guy is watching TV and moves his Rockets hat around and Yao's free throws move with it. Cool idea, but why the fuck is Yao taking FOUR FREE-THROWS IN A ROW. Stupid commercial.

You don't have to achieve enlightenment to understand that commercial, it basically means..

Damn Fenix, you just dropped to 0 on the intelligence scale and climbed a 10 on the idiot ranking.

I can't remember any commercials that annoyed me recently as I rarely watch TV now, but these ones are certainly not annoying:

I think we all understand the meaning of the commercial and/or the proverb, we (or at least I) think that it's illogical for one to stand up 7 times after falling down 6 times. Try it. You'll be very dissapointed. What's wron with 6x falling, 6x standing up? You keep the meaning and everyone would be happy.

Basic arithmetic Fenix.

6. get up > 6. fall down

The initial "standing up" counts as 1 and not 0, unless you like to count from 0,1,2,3... then your point is valid.
If it's 6x falling and 6x standing up, you end up lying down after you fall, which negates the point of never giving up.

Your teory would be correct if the sentence was "stand up 6 times, fall down 6 times", where you should have initial 'standing up' part if you'd wish to be standing up at the end, but it's vice versa. It starts with falling down.

1. fall down > 1. stand up
2. fall down > 2. stand up
3. fall down > 3. stand up
4. fall down > 4. stand up
5. fall down > 5. stand up
6. fall down > 6. stand up

See? You're standing.

I see now what confuses you, the wording of the statement.
You can't fall down when you're already down.
Before you fall down, you have to be standing up so the initial "standing up" still counts as the 1st one.
1. Standing up
1. Fall down, 2. stand up
2. fall down, 3. stand up
3. fall down, 4. stand up
4. fall down, 5. stand up
5. fall down, 6. stand up
6. fall down, 7. stand up
7. fall down, 8. stand up

That's not correct, because standing up is not the same as to stand up. If you begin from the standing position, you shouldn't count it as when you stand up from a fall.

Lol @ Joe and Tom.

What about favourite ads? Have any of the aussies seen the new starburst ad? Man i giggled like a girl at that. It's got this guy who lives in a bubble... he attempts to transfer into another bubble or whatever... but somebody bites a starburst when he steps out of the bubble, and the starburst gimmick is that the stabursts burst everywhere when you bite into them... so anyway the guy steps out of the bubble and gets all juice burst onto him. And he's like "My sensitive skin! My sensitive skin!... *tastes self* but it's so fruity! MY SKIN! *licks hand*...juicy too!"

Lol, so lame. But i manage to chuckle everytime i see that.

An annoying ad is the South Dragons ad, with Shane Heal talking about him having a challenge and being old. It's probably annoying because it's played like twice every commercial break during the NBA finals.

Edit: A cool commercial are those Joga Bonito commercials where the old guy named "history" is against Australia. I love it, especially the Croatian one.

Agreed. ESPN Australia repeats ads and promos far too much as it is. A couple of months ago they had that "great sports moments on ESPN" promo which popped up at every ad break...which wouldn't have been so bad except they only had about five different moments over and over again.

They also cut through ads :? Espn's timing is terrible. They show the South Dragons commercial, and then it cuts to half way through the ever repeated "this day in history"
