The Milwaukee Bucks are coming off a championship season (2005-2006). Before the start of last season they made a huge blockbuster trade that sent Jamaal Magloire, Joe Smith, and Bobby Simmons to Seattle for Ray Allen and Nick Collison.

Ray was unhappy in Seattle after coach Nate McMillan left. With this trade, Michael Redd was shifted to the SF position and the much loved Ray Allen was brought back to Milwaukee, but a new Milwaukee where he didn't have to deal with George Karl.

The Bucks had an amazing season and managed to make their way to the playoffs as the 4th seed in the east. They blew threw the first and second rounds with Ray Allen averaging 38ppg in both rounds. The 3rd round was very close but they managed to make their way to the finals where they faced the Houston Rockets, who had the 2005-2006 MVP, Tracy McGrady who averaged 30.1ppg during the regular season.

The game was a well fought battle, but in the end, Milwaukee prevailed and Ray Allen (the finals MVP averaging 28ppg) and the Bucks brought a title to Milwaukee, just like they'd hoped he would when they'd traded for him on draft night back in 1996.

In the offseason, the Bucks had the 24th pick, and after the draft they made a few off season trades that brought the J.J. Redick to be their backup PG and Jermaine Jackson to be their backup SG. They then signed free agent Andre Blatche, securing them a solid lineup for many years to come. In this upcoming season the Bucks hope to attain yet another title.

The Milwaukee Bucks are rumored to be attempting to acquire sharpshooting swingman Kyle Korver of the Philadelphia 76ers.



The Bucks, a quick, outside shooting team, feel that Kyle Korver would fit perfectly into their style of play.

Reece Gaines, Jiri Welsch, Alexander Johnson, Ersan Ilyasova, and Jumaine Jones are all rumored to be possibilities for Korver.

A trade has just been approved that sends Jumaine Jones and Reece Gaines to the 76ers for Kyle Korver.

This trade will likely benefit both teams well as Kyle Korver will fit perfectly into Milwaukee's sharpshooting, athletic style while backing up Ray Allen.

The 76ers were seeking a lot more depth and versatility in their backcourt and Jumaine Jones and Reece Gaines should supply them with that.

Season Opener: Milwaukee at Charlotte

Charlotte is a team that has made some very large changes in the off season, the biggest of which is signing Free Agent center Yao Ming. They also aquired SG Tony Allen through a trade and SG Flip Murray via Free Agency.

This was a back and forth game. Early Charlotte took a huge lead, but with the help of Milwaukee's new and energetic bench rotation that includes Kyle Korver, J.J. Redick, Andre Blatch, and Dan Gadzuric, they rallied back and took a large lead to win the game.

Despite solid performances from both Emeka Okafor and Brevin Knight, Charlotte couldn't stop the range that Milwaukee possesed.

"All the time they had at least 3 good and quick 3-point shooters on the floor so we really had to put a lot of pressure on the perimeter. Emeka and Yao had to come out and guard the jump shot and that gave us a big hole in the middle so when Gadzuric or Bogut were in the game we gave up a lot of boards and a lot of easy put backs" [i]said Gerald Wallace in an interview after the game.[i]

The Milwaukee Bucks hold on to beat the Spurs 101-88 on Throwback Night

With both teams sporting their 1979-1980 Season jerseys, the Bucks were able to hold off the San Antonio Spurs. This a good game, with a strong showing from both teams. Tim Duncan wreaked havoc on the boards while Tony Parker ripped it up driving into the paint.

"With our drive and dish style of play we had going on it made the bigs come off of their men a lot." Said Ray Allen in an interview after the game, "That opened up both Nick and Andrew for a lot of shots. This was really Andrew's night and even when we werent creating space in the middle he was creating his own shot, he was always there for the put back and he even had a few post moves to show Tim Duncan."

You have one hell of a team.

Ray Allen, Redd, Korver AND Reddick, holy smokes you must average like 80 three pointers a game.

...And none of them can play defense either.

Redd and Allen do a pretty good job on defense, and T.J. Ford also plays great perimeter defense. I've been doing my best to develop Bogut into a good low post defender and hes getting there, and of course I have Dan Gadzuric under contract for another four seasons and he is an incredible shot blocker.

Most of my points come off the fast break or non 3pt jumpers, the only guy i shoot an abnormal amount of 3's with is Ray Allen, who of course shoots an abnormal amount of 3's in real life. He's the only guy i spot up and shoot a 3 with in transition.
