Looks like they are working on graphics last cause it looks like shit. Players look like stubby hobits with big feet. Live needed to make less muscular players...not gnomes.
Most of the new screens emphasize battling in the paint...i guess that's part of EA's attempt at making the game slower in pace. I hope it works. It kinda works in live 2003..but let's face it...most of us run and gun..we dont dictate a slower offence. Mabe they need to force people to play a slower offence..cause everyone runs and guns then complains that the game is too fast.

EA posted some pics of rip and ben in their site. What do you of their cyberfaces now? Coz their uniforms still look washed up.

The only thing that looks great right now are the arena and courts (excluding the NBA basket/rim of course, lol). Other than that, the jersey textures look so bad

. Also, looks like there's a preview of what the new Rockets away jerseys are going to look like huh? Looks pretty plain from those angles.

10 man mo cap, it looks like there showing the fact that each player is doing something besides staring at the ball--
I have a feeling EA is keeping a lot of details from the media, till September--then they'll drop the real features.

Hell yeah. Thats what i'm talkin about. Finally. The playermodels need work but it looks like they fixed the shotblocking. The gameplay is smooth.

The video looks terrific. About the screenshots, one thing that really bothered me was that everyone on the offensive team is calling for the ball at the same time

I liked the video but it looks too much like Live 2003. Too arcady, it looks like you can just cross players over and get nasty dunks inside in traffic again. Like 2003. It's gonna be too easy to score, trust me, the way the video looks, I bet it's gonna be like that.
I liked the song better then the video.

thats what ive been sayin lately...(recently posted that, before i've studied this video)
Fri Jul 11, 2003 5:08 am
well, the animations and dunks looks almost the same as nba live 2003!!

hope the game wont be like this!!!

I also have to say, the guys we see doing this stuff in the video are guys like kobe and t-mac, they actually do this stuff in real life, and a lot, not all the time but still a lot, and these things look spectacular so its very logic they show this in a promo video so everybody will think its great, the problem with us is, we have become too critical, cuz we know the flaws in 2003, but if i would be buyin' my first live i would fall for such a video i think so lets not forget this

I have to admit, I was with Yohance all the way, the still-screens looked pretty lackluster, but after watching the video a couple times, the game (in its early stages, no less) appears to be aesthetically well-done. And hey, I figure the patchmakers can clean up what isn't up to snuff. As for the game play aspect the video presented, yeah, the shot blocking looks infinitely better. Now we can only hope the frequency of blocked shots is reduced as accurately as the severity of the swats. And while a consistent level of defensive intensity still remains in question, I'm assuming (perhaps through nothing more than wishful thinking) that EA packaged together the cross-overs and the slams to present a little flash and sizzle to their product. After all, what's more alluring: Stevie Franchise housin' J-Kidd for a two-hander, or a ballhawk like, say, Gary Payton forcing his man to swing the ball? Anyway, this year looks promising, especially with all the sliders. If Live 2004 can bring tougher man-to-man defense and some solid commentary from Marv and the Czar, I'll be more than pleased.

the graphics are no concern for me because I know for a fact that these patchmakers will work there magic! But I was impressed with the slower gameplay and the arenas look great! If they can fix the gameplay aspect (plus we will have sliders to mess with as well)--and an advanced franchise this game will be the best basketball ball game hands down. The graphics are the least of my concerns--right now.

the video looked really good to me, i'm not really feelin awkward by the dunks i saw since the sliders will be in effect. the graphics arent a big concern to me either but i would like to know if each of the NBA arenas in the game have different lighting ? does anyone now? its very hard to tell from the video.

wasn't quite sure where to put this, but this is from the PS2 main live 2004 page. Assuming that's Drik attempting the block his hair looks very good.
Sun Jul 13, 2003 2:31 pm
Yea i was gonna mention that..his hair finally looks realistic. This may be a hunch..but i have a feeling that we will get moving hair in this year's version. I remember mentioning it to Tim a couple years ago and he said they would put it in eventually.
Sun Jul 13, 2003 3:02 pm
Oh god...*pictures Nash fixing his hair every 10 seconds* AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Nightmares already.
Sun Jul 13, 2003 9:24 pm
that Twista theme song is pretty dope
Mon Jul 14, 2003 2:25 pm

the jersey pictured is the old school 93-95 rockets jersey, the one they wore last season as their retro
its not their new one

So, T-Mac is definitely gonna be on the cover? It's about time. He's a great choice.
Wed Jul 16, 2003 1:48 am
yea th graphics im not worried about now... just the gameplay and presentation....the graphics were great last year and they said they makin them betta so the graphics will be fine.... im just anxious bout the ea sayin there keepin stuff from us... taht means there hard at work....
Wed Jul 16, 2003 11:17 am
No I don't think he will be because T-Mac has already been on the cover of another game.
Wed Jul 16, 2003 5:25 pm
Does anybody know what the song in the movie is called.
I'm really "diggin'" it.
