At least two so far. But so long as the relaunched ECW product makes good use of the former ECW talent that have signed on I think they can afford to make One Night Stand more of a WWE vs ECW event. It'll probably be more effective in launching ECW that way.

so far its Cena vs Sabu, Rey vs RVD and a 20 man over the top battle royal. im sure there will be many segments with ECW talent

so im hearing that the hardy's will reunite in ECW. (Y)

I have to say, I'm not a huge fan of the Big Show jumping ship to ECW. It reminds me of the way they really screwed up the Invasion angle back in 2001 with too many people swapping back and forth, sometimes for no good reason whatsoever. Funnily enough, Kurt Angle was one of those turncoats in that angle. It doesn't seem like they've got too much confidence in ECW if they're going to get high profile WWE names involved to try and lend it more appeal. I can't shake the feeling a good angle and venture are about to be botched.

You know what though? This would be an excellent time to end the brand split, even though that's probably never happening soon.

I have no idea why Angle is going to ECW, what exactly does he represent for them? Seems a bit ridiculous, there'd have to be some more ECW-like wrestlers going around.

they just want star power on ECW. which is rather ironic since ECW made their own stars

but they need people on the roster, so they have to bring in new guys eventually. However, I would prefer no-namers rather than main-eventers.
Could this be the end of the brand split? Randy Orton and Kurt Angle have both left SmackDown!, which leaves that roster with pretty much nothing.
Edge screwed up that top-rope backdrop pretty bad. And I doubt RVD was supposed to fall off the barricade before that leg-drop on Mysterio. Nice to see they left it in though, unlike on SmackDown! when Matt Hardy's fall off the top rope was edited out. i really see no reason to edit anything out of a freaking wrestling match.
And why a DQ in Cena's match?

EDIT:

From WWE.com

John "Earthquake" Tenta passes away
June 7, 2006

John "Earthquake" Tenta passed away this morning at the age of 42 after a lengthy battle with bladder cancer. Tenta is survived by his wife and three kids.

EDIT 2: Were's a good place to get PAL wrestling DVD's? None of the shops here have any, and the ones at the Shock official website are 50 bucks a throw.

Sad news about Tenta, I remember reading an interview with him on Wrestlecrap.com. Sounded like a cool guy and to have only lived to 42...cancer truly is the scourge of the 21st century.

As far as DVDs go, I'd recommend eBay as well as dvdorchard.com.au. DVDOrchard only sells Region 4 DVDs and I've managed to find some older DVDs, all R4, on eBay.

Why is it necessary to cancel Smackdown? If the brand split ends then the talent isn't going to be divided up amongst the two shows, hence no imbalance. The WWE was fine with two shows before the split, keeping both two hour shows allows them to give most of their talent consistent TV time.

--WWE tinkered with the idea of feuding the Freakin' Deacon (current fake Kane) with Kane last year, but evidently, felt he wasn't ready for the big leagues at the time.

--Randy Orton wasn't scheduled to return until next week. WWE officials brought him back because they thought they needed someone like him on the upcoming ECW PPV. This move upset quite a few people. According to several workers backstage, Orton came off as the exact same person that he was before and that there was no improvement in his personality while he was away. Some say he is even worse than he was before seeing how he now has it in his head that he's so important and thus WWE brought him back early from his "vacation."

--TNAwrestling.com has added a new update regarding the upcoming TNA video game by Midway Games. As of June 1, production for the new game has started and Midway will be meeting with both AJ Styles and Samoa Joe to brainstorm ideas about gameplay. This was described as a big deal for Styles and Joe as both are avid gamers. Jeff Jarrett and AJ Styles are also scheduled to travel to Midway's studio in Los Angeles to start work on the motion capture stage of the game. Jarrett and Styles will be fitted with hundreds of digital sensors and will be the first characters created for the game. TNA intends on posting screenshots of the game as they become available from Midway.

--There has been talk that the Smackdown vs Raw 07 video game which will be relased in November on PS2, PS3, PSP, and Xbox 360 may be retitled WWE vs ECW 07.

--Mike Johnson reports that David Heath aka Gangrel was contacted last week by the
WWE and will likely be re-signed soon for the ECW brand.

--As noted last night, Jerry Lawler and Tazz both worked stiff at the WWE vs. ECW special. The two knew they had to work stiff due to the cameras being right on them up close.

--Vince McMahon was on headsets in the back and feeding the announcers lines to use against each other, and also encouraging the verbal jousting.

--The Terry Funk punches to Mick Foley were 100% legit and Foley was busted the hard way. Believe it or not, Foley actually told Funk to blast him in the face the hard way.

Discouraging news about Orton, though other sources report there's been some positive steps made in improving his attitude with the counselling he underwent. As talented as he is, he needs to get his head on straight. Three or four years ago he probably would have just been cut loose but with TNA continuing to grow the WWE wouldn't be so quick to do that these days.

according to wrestlecrap.com, Mickie James' botched Stratusfaction & hand-licking have been edited out of the WrestleMania 22 DVD. Why do they do this? They edit out Matt Hardy falling off the second rope, they edit out Mickie's botch.....why can't they leave it in there? By removing it, they're just admitting it was a botch.

I got the DVD last week and having read about that, jumped straight to those matches to see if it was true for all releases and not just a regional cut; it wasn't, the cuts are made on R4 too. Maybe it was for ratings purposes as far as the hand licking gesture is concerned but with the chopped botches the cuts look very obvious. I guess it doesn't matter to someone who didn't see the original event but it isn't all that seamless so it looks abrupt.

I'm not that surprised with the shoot punches on Foley. I'm more surprised about the shoot punches between Tazz and Lawler. Never knew Lawler was that kinda guy.

Oh yeah, anyone joined WWE fantasy? me and a bunch of cousins just joined this season. This is probably one of the few reasons why I'm paying close attention to wwe.com lately

How does WWE fantasy give points? Is it by official matches or are points given too when a wrestler interrupts a match and beats the heck out of someone?
