Problem

when i hit select/inverse the delete with the pen tool it tells me that the content is not directly editable does anyone know what the problem is

Well, whatever layer the stuff you want to delete is on, click that layer in the Layer Menu (so it's highlighted), then try.

I dont believe that's the same message I get when I have the wrong layer....

He may be using an older version of Photoshop or another program. It'd be nice if we knew, huh?

this is because you have to convert a path to a selection. Hit CTRL+Enter
