Spain: Violadores del Verso, Nach, SFDK, Arma Blanca.

These are maybe the best spanish rappers.

Isn't that Tego Calderon guy from Spain? He's pretty good, the one from the NBA live 06 soundrack. He raps in Spanish I think.

i heard it over the weekend and i was disappointed as well

they took alot of the best songs offa there and a few others got ruined due to samples not clearing

this joint may go down as one of the most overhyped records in the history of rap

Wha??? Didn't like it???

First of all, most overhyped record will forever and always be 'The Firm'

Secondly, I would say this met the hype. Good release from Busta.

Yeah I heard a sample on the CD and I dont even like Busta Rymes. His songs are a little too strange for my likings. Now that Pimp C song Pourin Up is a classic.

You mean Busta Rhymes < Pimp C ?

Well,

I think Busta Rhymes is one of the most unique and original artists ever in the rap music. I love his collabos with Tribe Called Quest, those pieces were something I will always turn back to and remember how the music industry used to be.

Hes definatly unique, but I only like one song from him....ever. "Gimme Some More" was his best, imo. I like Bun B better than Pimp C.

Does anybody know of any songs that contain Political, Social or Enviromental messages in them? No Tupac please. I need it for school tomorow. I'm contemplating bringing N.W.A - Fuck tha Police but I need a less swearing one than that as a back-up lol.

We had a suggestathon and they were all rock songs and I was like ugh..

Public Enemy and Ice Cube's early albums should do the trick. Try Fight The Power by Public Enemy, unless your teacher is a big fan of Elvis.

There's also some song that's perfect for your needs from one of Guru's Jazzmatazz albums, just can't come up with the name.

It wouldn't hurt if I included one rock/whatever genre it is (anything upbeat and includes heaps of guitars and drums, no matter what the lyrics/song is about, i consider it to be "Rock", I'm not good with the sub genres of Alternative, Emo, Heavy Metal etc bleh)

Yeah thanks, I included Nas - Rule, Nas - I Can, Grandmaster Flash - the Message, Mos Def and Talib Kweli - Respiration and some others..

that's probably too much so I'll stop there, I only needed one song and its' lyrics but I got 5 songs' lyrics printed out.

Nas - I Can? :shake: You should have used Just A Moment (Nas feat. Quan).

Its not Mos and Talib Kweli - Respiration, its actually Blackstar feat. Common - Respiration.

Also Mos Def - Mathematics, Nas - Get Down, Talib Kweli - Get By, Arrested Development - Mr.Wendel, and Kanye West - Jesus Walks should be some commercial tracks that are worth a look at, that is if you haven't submitted your assignment yet or for future purposes. (y)

A lot of The Coup's material is great on the political edge. And of course there's Immortal Technique. IT's music is pretty bad though and it's a bunch of consipiracy theories. But it could be useful to show another viewpoint.
