Well, the gameplay could use quite a bit of tweaking, but looks promising since it's this early still. Very nice to see (most of) the individual animations also..

But damn, those stuff the random crowd (or was it a PA-guy?) screamed out (10x louder than the rest of the crowd) after each play is damn annoying..

There is also a lot of work going into the improved movement and reaction time of players. A team at 2K Sports is working specifically on everything from the way players plant their feet to the way they turn as they run, and while none of this was implemented in the E3 version, word is they're hoping to emulate the movements and style of the Winning Eleven series and bring it to the hardwood.

  2K sports do it and it's barely mentioned, EA do it and are basically trying to sell the entire game on it. 2K7 sounds fantastic, I don't even give a shit about Live anymore.

Edit: How good are those gameplay videos  Marion's fucked up J is in there too.

They probably feature PHX4LIFE as the "drunk fan"

Look a lot like 2k6, they got Nash licking his fingers like a faggot as well.

It's gonna be tough this year, hope EA steps up. We haven't seen any gameplay material from them yet.

im happy theyre working on all that, because the only thing that pissed me off in the other 2k7 videos was the players moving at 45 degree angles.... now it will look super real

But just because dunking is smoother doesn't mean it's going to be easier to dunk, as last year, people complained about it being too easy to get into the lane. In 2K7, the defense will play more physical and you'll actually get bumped as you drive, throwing you off your clear path to the hoop and making it harder for you to pull off the poster.

this is true, it's too easy to dunk-hopefully this works out (Y)

i watched the 5th movie as it was mentioned it was good-looks good in terms of gameplay, the graphics weren't looking top notch, but i know they are

One minor thing I saw that I think needs to be fixed is how the players rushed to the court after the timeout - they usually just walk off the court and pass the ball in (second video). Other than that this game looks VERY promising.

Check out the E3 2K6 Gameplay video - similar to the ones from IGN except MUCH better quality and no waiting through those 30-second advertisements each time you click a link.

Preview of 2k7, this sounds amazing. I don't think it's been posted... the only negative they could come up with was all 30 authentic arenas might not be included... but they do have multi player Association mode.

Man, all those things in the article... 250 different jumpshots and all, I hope EA has read that one as well. Seems like there isn't much of a choice again but to go with 2k7, can't miss.

If they pull that off, I'm going to wet my pants.
Hope Live brings something better to the table against the competition other than that exclusive ESPN usage.

What's the winning eleven?

Man, this game sounds incredible. I think i may buy an xbox360 purely for the game.

250 jump shots? I would've been satisfied with 10! That means on average, per team, 8 guys will have different jumpshot styles. WOW.

I think winning 11 is pro evolution soccer but the name they give the american version?

As for 2k7, the multiplayer dynasty sounds good, but id only like it you can use it online. As for the jumpshot animations, it will only be good if each different animation has a different "perfect" release point.

But it would be hard as hell to play a game like that. To have 8 guys and everytime you take a J, the release point is different.

A couple things i wish they'd do was fix the net moving animations. The nets barely move at all when a dunk or a shot goes in. Also the dunking animations are still pretty bad.

still the reason i'm goin get a 360.
