Stadium Arcadium.

I'm not the kind of guy to make a thread just for one specific thing, but...

...Holy shit, I've always been a Red Hot Chili Peppers fan, but this album is unreal. No other album has been played in my house for days. Every freaking song is perfect, even their softer, slower songs. It's 28 songs of pure, beautiful, funky and amazing music. Normally, there would be a song or two that I like in an entire album, but wow, this album to me is the definition of perfect music, and almost every track has managed to make me get up and flail my arms like a retarded idiot, which is an absolute first for me. I couldn't imagine a better musical style for me.

You guys absolutely have to pick this one up. I think I've found my first true love.

My favourite songs are probably Stadium Arcadium and Torture Me, although its hard to pick a favourite since each one is so god damn good. (Y)

The album is good, but I don't think it's perfect. It's one of those albums that doesn't have any flaws, but it doesn't have any real highlights either. It seems like every song is 4.5/5. I really enjoy it, but it still ain't no Blood Sugar Sex Magik.

Every song of theirs I've heard in the last 4-5 years has sounded exactly the same, I can't distinguish which I'm listening to until the chorus. I haven't heard any of this album yet, I'll probably preview it just because you're so excited about it. ;)

Red Hot is awesome but I refuse to buy CDs because they are so much freaking money. I'm sure the record is great, though.

I've got it too, and I like it much better than the other albums they made before. I'm listening to it right now, in fact. I like the slow songs, my favourites are Snow and Hard to Concentrate. I'm going to see them live, too, in 11 days, at Pinkpop.

I'm absolutely gonna get it when I got the money (It's 25€ here. Like 30 US$)
My favorite songs are Charlie, Stadium Arcadium and Dani California, but I have not listened to the entire album yet.
However judging by the songs I've listened to, I don't think that any other RHCP album represents the band's members as Stadium Arcadium. As Flea said: "If you don't like this album, you don't like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, end point"
I'm now waiting for the dates of the Italian Tour they're gonna do in November, I can't wait for it!

It's good is it? :o Sweet. I can't wait.

I've only heard one song on the radio so far, Dani California, it's not that great of a song, but i don't mind it.

I heard another song on the radio that i hadn't heard before. The singer sounded like the chili peppers dude, but i'm not sure if it was, the singing was really good. It was a softer song.

I don't like Dani California, and Donatello is right all of the RHCP stuff these days sounds the same (N) Flea said "if you don't like this album, you don't like the Red Hot Chili Peppers"... so I guess I don't

I just got it yesterday (legally :shifty:).

I was a bit dissapointed though, it's too simple. There's a few gems in there, but i was expecting much greater things. A lot of the songs are the same.

It's a decent listen. But they're out of awesome ideas. Blood, Sex, Sugar, Magik was genius, this is not near that.

Californication isn't the best album, it has bad songs like Porcelain, I Like Dirt, Right On Time & maybe some other, but overall is a great album because of the quality of the good songs (Scar Tissue, Otherside, Californication, This Velvet Glove, Around The World, etc)...
I think the best album is Blood Sugar Sex Magik because the members of the band express their feelings in songs that match perfectly the lyrics (Under The Bridge, etc)
Today I listened to Stadium Arcadium at my friend's house and as some of you said, many songs seem to be the same as the others (especially in CD2) but overall it's a good album, I really liked the songs Snow and Torture Me...
I think repititive songs are more present in the album By The Way, where like 5 songs (I don't remember the songs names), if I remember right, sound totally the same.

The first CD is pretty crap.

There's no creativity anymore. They just fall back on their old habbits (which happen to be excellent.) But i'm looking to hear some ground-breaking ideas, not boring 4 chord progression sing-alongs. Dani California isn't even original.

The second CD is a bit better.
