@ New Yorkers, need some advice/help

Postby J@3 on Fri May 19, 2006 5:32 pm

So I'm thinking about going to NY for the NBA Draft, but I'm not sure how to get in... when do you buy tickets, how much do they usually cost, would it actually be worth going... if anyone can give me a bit more insight and prevent me from travelling across the World for nothing I'd appreciate it

I'm thinking the best seats would be around $300-350.
What do you want to go for though? I'd rather go see a good game (so obviously not in NY :) ) even though now you'll see a lot of players all in one building.

well round trip airline tickets would probably be around $1000-$1500 (USD, that is) and I think it would be cool to see some of the better players drafted like Morrison, Reddick, Aldridge. Unfortunately, you won't be able to see the New Yorkers boo their lottery pick (Like they do every year) because they traded it to Chicago.

Jae, if you're going to be attending the draft then streak across the room with a "I love NLSC sign" or something.

I can't believe this, but I might be in NY the same time Jae is in NY depending on if he is coming for sure and what day he is coming. I'm going from June 23rd-27th and now I'm wishing I could stay an extra day so I could go to the draft because I forgot all about it.

Thanks Splash that's helpful (Y)

What do you want to go for though? I'd rather go see a good game (so obviously not in NY Smile Crying or Very sad ) even though now you'll see a lot of players all in one building.

Yeah I'd rather go to a game aswell, but it's a timing thing. We have stacks of money at the moment but it'll probably all be gone by next season

Who knows, maybe Banks and I can go sip martini's with Donald Trump or something.

How about me, Jae and Yohance go to Rucker Park and be in some 3-on-3 tourney. Since fouls really ain't called over there and its competition it should be fun  Yohance, I'm pretty sure you've probably been to Rucker, how is it because my brother and I want to go to see how good the competition is.
