Yeah, right. It's not like Nowitzki is the best player on the Mavs' roster and without him the franchise would suck donkey balls... Of course, Avery Johnson has had a great part in the Mavs' success this year. But to give him all the credit for it is bullshit. The Mavs have had great regular seasons before, you know.

I never said Avery Johnson would get full credit. But from what i have seen Avery Johnson is the difference from them losing last year, and possibly going to the western conference finals.

as far as the Mavs sucking donkey balls if dirk wasnt there, i dunno about that. They would still have Stack and Terry who could average 25ppg each if Dirk wasnt there. Add in Van Horn, Daneils, harris, and howard. those are pretty solid players. But of course Dirk makes this team go.

but it wont surprise me when they get beat by the spurs, or if the spurs dont make it, they will probably lose to whichever LA team that gets to the western conference finals. because lets face it, the Grizzlies werent that great of a threat in the playoffs anyway.

Mavs would be balls w/o Nowitzki. There is no one on that team who plays as efficiently as he does. Take him off and you lose your best rebounder too and one of the best clutch players in the NBA.

Nowiztki single handedly resurrected so many games this season just be lighting it up in the 4th....w/o him Mavs would have at least 10 less wins and be just another West team.

Thats simply wrong, Dirk is the best player on their roster, I cant get why u said that .....
Dirk is very very strong this year, definitely a MVP season.
BUT

he also had one last year, and the Mavs weren´t as good as this year so lot of credit goes to A. Johnson.

But Dirk is very very good, dunno if you are just not objective enough or what ?
What makes Dirk stronger than other scorer leaders (Kobe, T-Mac not injured, AI) is that he doesn´t try to do too much, teamplay is one of his main things, thats important for a scorer......

The Mavericks improved two games from last year. So Avery gets credit for two games?
But from what i have seen Avery Johnson is the difference from them losing last year, and possibly going to the western conference finals.

Yeah, it's not like he was the coach last year or anything...

18 games (16-2 record) and the playoffs. The guy was talking about their playoff failings, which came about when Avery Johnson was the coach. Which was his entire point.

At least you admitted you were wrong when you said Avery wasn't the coach last year.
they play other basketball they played last year, just better !

Right...then.

Very impressive. I didn't expect them to give the Spurs a run for their money so early on, yet they seem to be doing really well (not watching the game).
I wouldn't be all that surprised if they're able to beat San Antonio in a game 6/7 situation, as long as Dirk keeps playing as awesome as he is..

This is a very good basketball game, I didn't expect it to be this close the whole entire game (as they said, not one doubble-diget lead by either team)

I realized that the next game is Tuesday, then the next game after that... Saturday.
Again *sigh*so much time between games :(

*goes back to watching game because comemrcial is over*

Oh my goodness. Stackhouse was feeling it throughout the game, but he missed his last couple of shots and shouldn't have taken that three pointer and settled for a tie instead.

I love Stackhouse and he's one of my favs on Dallas, but that was a stupid play on his part.

San Antonio wins the series in game 6 at Dallas because Dirk & Company will choke, once again, in the playoffs.

what was stackhouse thinking? he had some daylight when he was inside the three point line, and he moved back? they were only down two, why not go for the tie? brain fart..

It's conventional thought that you go for the win when you're on the road and you're down two and Avery probably called it. However, Stack should've improvised in that situation.
