The sweat looks a bit over the top, but its not the pictures I was impressed with, although Lamar Odom looked extremely real, I thought for a second it was.....
But what they actually said was just....amazing! Read:

Steve Nash dribbles the ball up court, checks out the D and licks his fingers before delivering a one-handed bounce pass to The Matrix who finishes the play with the ugliest money shot in the game. Nash gets back on defense, stops, and flicks his hair behind his ear.

These are just some of the signature animations being shown at E3, as 2K Sports looks to add more personality and signature shots into the NBA 2K series. I saw Rasheed Wallace spot up and shoot a three pointer that looked so much like his real-life stroke, I seriously did a double take at the screen.

Chauncey Billups points at the defense while calling out a play. Tayshaun shoots like Tayshaun. Rip drives to the hole like Rip. The only thing missing is the Raja Bell clothesline.

Sounds amazing....hopefully, plays the way they described!

The game will be fantastic. 2K6 was awesome, Live can have their chewing donkeys.

They all look like they're coming straight out the shower. But it does indeed look amazing and sound amazing from a gameplay standpoint.

Being an nba live fan.....i wish they would produce quality like VC. Being a basketball fan ...i'm glad i will be purchasing and playing this wonderful game. Gamespot has a nice demonstration of the game.

The sound of it is awesome, this is definitely top 10 on my Next-Gen wishlist .

It sounds ok. The sweating is a bit extreme though and the players look nothing like the real thing.

edit: Just watched the Gamespot vid and it seems pretty nice. I like the simple layup and stuff. I noticed they have a bit of ice skating in the game though.


I remember seeing Ben Wallace react to a foul and though "Wouldnt it be cool if you could react to a call?" Either passive or agressive or something of that nature. Maybe hype up the crowd, get them on your side so you can influence the ref. Even cooler would be that if you react to it too much over the course of the game you can get a tech.

They always seem to be a little ahead of the Live series. But this year they do not have the ESPN anymore... Hope Live can do better... But still, I wish 2K series came out for PC.

Rip looks like the frikkin Phanton Of The Opera rite there. The sweat is berserk, its like they've been running suicides. But definitely iimpressive for a first hand look, I'd see it beating out Live easily yet again.

^ People were saying that about last year's game, and it turned out that they looked perfect in gameplay. So don't worry about the necks.

I cannot wait for this game. Will they make it for regular xbox?? I'm too lazy to research for myself.

Rip looks like he was left outside in sub-zero temperatures, frosted, then sprayed with a hose. But apart from that the game looks fantastic. Cannot wait. At all. Seriously. Help me. Omg. I might have to buy an xbox 360 after all, just for this game.

i'm hope by the time its released they change the sweat issue and im sure it will be. Odom looks great they should show white people in their previews because sweat shows differently on different colour people, idk maybe i should go to bed

From what I saw from the interview @ gamespot.com the game looks so great. It's like 2k6 (what means perfection) but with more animations and better looking overal. There won't be the contrast of players detail and arena and coaches detail. It was a little weird. I love the reflections of the court and how the PG's call the plays.

In that interview the 2ksports guy said even there will be people of the crowd going to the bar and walking over there, so it will look even more real. I think that was in some wishlist for Live.

I only hope the game is released here in Europe at the same time that in the USA, because we got the game released last month... and that sucks.

The sweat is waaay over the top, but the rest looks pretty good. But I won't be getting it. Why pay for a console when I only play 2 games?

The sweat lines on his arms are realistic. get a water bottle, drink 4/5 of it and stand upright. You will notice the water stream downwards in a similar fashion to that on rips arms.
