What couldn't you live without?

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

What couldn't you live without?

Postby Jackal on Mon May 08, 2006 3:53 pm

In an attempt to spawn some better discussions around the General Talk, I'll look to make some topics more frequently. Matthew's thread was a semi-wake up call for me. I sit around moping about how everything has become so mind numbing instead of doing something about it. I became a part of the problem whilst I should've been looking for a solution.

Anyways, this should have a little funky catchphrase-ish thingie to it, so we'll call it Jackal-Talk. What's not catch phrasey about me? Eh?

Scrap that, sounds like Oprah Winfrey.

Anyways, as the topic reads: Which thing(s) could you not live without?

To take away from the funny men before they try, oxygen is not an option. If you post oxygen, air, food, water or any other vital thing to stay alive, I will fuck your mom with your dad's chopped off penis, so play nice.

I want you to name me the things you couldn't live without & I urge you to give me a good & logical reasoning behind it.

From the top of my head I couldn't do without my laptop, honestly. It keeps me in contact with friends from the island, it helps with my studies, it's got all my entertainment (not porn you sick bastards) such as NBA Games, Movies, Television Shows & Music. Besides, it keeps me connected to you guys.

Another thing is music, it'd be mighty difficult if I had no music. Music is the ultimate get away for me, I listen to it while I try to fall asleep & I wake up with it. I shower with music on and play games with music on, I play basketball with music on and during tests I'm humming a tune quite often. (To the dismay of the teachers/students.)

Now your turn, what's couldn't you live without? What's your prized possession? And tell me why!

Oxygen.

But really, music is number one.

I've always got some going. It wakes me up in the morning, it helps me through another dreary day at school, and it puts me to sleep at night. It can change my mood and make me feel great, make me relaxed, make me psyched, and make me anything inbetween.

I forgot to mention that, I've been "caught" listening to music so often in class, the teachers have basically quit kicking me out. Besides, I just tape their blabbings & listen to them at home.

I'd say my wife considering I couldnt afford my apartment or schooling without her. In time I'll truly repay her for all the good things she has done for me.

Trust me, she puts up with alot.

Let's see ...

Not in any particular music.

I can't live without Music. I have to listen to music everyday. It gets me by the day and ye ... it's a big part in my life.
It also gets me passed school which are long ass days when I don't have my music player on me. I even risk me being in that class by listenin to music. So what I do is jus put the earphones under my arm sleeve and jus listen to music. Haha.
I can even say ... "Music is my escape from reality"

I can't live without my family and friends obviously. BIG part in my life and they are the ones that keep me focus and all that shit.

I can't live without the girl of course. She is the one the keeps me focused and gives me that boost in life you know ?

I can't live without basketball. It's my life. Haha.
That's where I take out all my anger and pain. I take it out on the court.
Jus relaxes my mind and forget about all the problems.

That's all I can think of right now.

I'd have to say my PC and Internet connection. Even if I wasn't running the NLSC (and it I haven't done that the entire time I've been connected) I'd still be online regularly doing this and that...for those of us who only get one or two NBA games a week and little coverage otherwise it's a must for keeping up with the latest news and results. Then of course there's video games and the fact doing work/writing letters etc is a whole lot easier on a PC.

Family.

The most important to me compared to anything else. :proud:

Women will come and go, money will come and go, friends will come and go(most of them), but family stays the same unless your an orphan or have an abusive dad and a psycho mom then you might see your share of many families during your life.

A guitar, and music. My music collection is the soundtrack to my life, and without it everything would suck a hell of a lot. Also it is always nice to have a guitar around to be creative and relax.

Aside from the basic necessities, any form of entertainment be it video games, movies, tv, music, sports or just plain hanging out with friends. nothing too specific but having none of those would kill me...

I can't live without NLSC. I love you guys.

Friends and family are a no brainer. Basketball is also something that I really depend upon to relieve stress and just keep myself healthy and entertained.

Well probably my computer,I have everything that I need on my computer.Sometimes my computer doesn't work and I fell like I'm gonna die.I rather have a busted computer turned on,then a good computer turned of  .To tell you the truth i spend most of the time just siting at the computer and listen music.I special place is NLSC and I spend a lot of time here,it would be better for me if I don't go to NLSC sometimes.but I can't resist NLSC is a big part in my life.

And theres my family with I can't live without, they always show me the right way in life and when I'm down they can make me happy. There's also my friend, with them I always do something stupid and get in trouble  ,but they cool I would be nothing without them.

Well thats all I can think about, except the usual thing food, air etc.
