NEXT GAME:

GAME 1

Image(44-38)@(63-19)Image

STARTING LINEUPS:

Brad Miller ------------------------------- Nazr Mohammed
Shareef Abdur-Rahim ------------------ Tim Duncan
Ron Artest ------------------------------- Bruce Bowen
Bonzi Wells ------------------------------ Manu Ginobili
Mike Bibby ------------------------------- Tony Parker

GAME NOTES:

Spurs will look to get off to a nice, quick start, they will go down to Duncan early to get him into the game, and then the floor will be open for the shooters. Last year Spurs lost game 1 to Denver, and they know how its like to go down 1-0 early in the series. They will obviously come out firing on all sides and will look to take game 1.

Spurs won game 1 very easily, Kings had a game bad starting in the 3rd quarter. Thats when the 12-1 run started by Michael Finley who scored 9 of his 13 points. Spurs will look to take on the Kings tomorrow night on TNT, looking to take game 2.

RECAP

Spurs had the game under control and were holding Artest to their kind of game. That was Artest's lowest scoring playoff game since.......ever. We did a Q and A with Tim Duncan after the game to see how it felt to win game 1.

Q: Tim Duncan, 25 points, 8 rebounds, what a way to kick off this 1st round aganist the Kings, so how did it felt?

A: Well Yea, we came out and we know how its gonna feel to come out all fired up and to win game 1 in front of our pumped up crowd.

Q: How about Tony and Manu 20+ for the night for both of 'em?

A: Oh, they played like all-stars like they are, Manu in '05 and Tony in '06, just playing to win and make it past this round and even to the second, conference finals, and possibly the finals.

Q: Thank You for taking this time off and talking to us.

A: Yea anytime, thanks.

Spurs won Game 2

Spurs took total cotrol of the series beating the Kings in game 2. Ron Artest got injured (back) in the 1st quarter 5:20 left, and made his comeback in the 2nd with 4:00. Since the moment he left, Kings had a better gameplay, they shared the ball more, and had many open shots to start the 2nd quarter, but still didn't have enough to beat The Champs. Look ahead to Game 3 when the Spurs take on the Kings in Game 3 at the Arco Arena.

Artest will not be playing, because of his injury in Game 2. He will be questionable for the whole series. Kevin Martin will take Bonzi's place at the 2-guard, while Bonzi takes the SF position, say the Kings coach, Rick Adelman.

Spurs took Game 3, leading 3-0

Spurs took complete control of the series by winning Game 3 in Sacramento. Artest didn't play because of his injury that happend in Game 2 (back). Spurs led most of the way and were up by 15 points at the end of the 3rd Quarter. Pop took his BIG 3 out of the game 3rd quarter, he is not putting them in a jeopardy. Kings cought up to the Spurs including the 8-0 run by the Kings and one time they lead 91-90, left 1:14 in the game. Then Duncan came on with Parker and Spurs had the ball, Parker passed the ball to Duncan down low, Ofcourse Duncan scored and the score was 92-91, then Kings called a TO, and they came down the court, with the ball in Bibby's hands, passed it to Bonzi, pump fake, passed it back to Bibby and Bibby hit the huge 3-pointer with :31.4 left in fourth. Score was 94-92 Kings. Ginobili had the ball, shot the 3 pointer and missed, Duncan offensive rebound, then passed it to Barry, he shoots...........he scores !!!!!!! Those were Barry's only 3 points of the game, and he made it count. Kings had the ball, passed it to Miller, he shoots...he missed......Duncan defensive rebound, and they foul him. Duncan goes to the line to shoot two, and makes both of them, score was 97-94, and :7.4 left in 4th. Wells inbounded the ball to Abdur-Rahim, Rahim passed it to wide open Bibby.......Bibby shot the 3-pointer to tie the game......he shoots............zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz........and a miss. Final score 97-94 Spurs. San Antonio will look to end the series with a sweep when they take on the Kings in Game 4 tomorrow night on ESPN.
