Brett Farve

Fantastic news, Farve will return! Nobody wants to see him leave the game on a 4 win team. Lets hope the Packers actually get this guy some good players in the draft.

I may be wrong, but isn't his name Favre? Sorry, but that's about the only thing I know about football...

Wrong move. He's still a legend and he should retire as one. I hate when players don't know when its is enough... :scold: .

I can't wait to see him throw 4 or 5 interceptions in the Metrodome again this year.

Yay for Brett Favre!

Farve, Favre, like it makes a difference.

I dont understand the backlash towards him comming back. WOuld you rather see a certified chump play instead of him?

Would you still like to see Jordan play on the Wizards?

I didnt mind him comming back in 2002 and 2003, becuase he didnt actually hurt their progress did he?

But Farve can still play this game. Sure you look at the high interception numbers, but you're ignorant if you cant recognise the injuries they had and he was desperately trying to carry this team. id rather someone go down swinging in a fight than standing around scratching his nuts.

I am aware of the argument about the injury situation as justification for his loosey-gooseyness but I dont necessarily agree with it. Many of those passes that were picked were just plain dumb plays (Throw away the ball). I dont think its good for a team where you have this guy there feeling he can do whatever, whenever he wants without being held accountable. Its good to show heart that you wanna be in there win or lose but making bonehead throws is simply not very responsible. Many times I bet he wasnt even thinking or reading the defense, just chucking (some would say ala Kobe).

About the Jordan thing, you cant tell me that you wouldnt have preferred the last Jordan memory to be him hitting a game winning shot in the Finals.

I want Favre to retire so that Aaron Rodgers can come in and fill the roll of him. Oh well, he retires next year anyways.

I'd bet most people still think of Jordan hitting that shot before thinking about his Wizards days.

Exactly Drex, its not Jordan erased that memory. People who say it tarnished his legend are idiots. He averaged 20 ppg, 6 rpg, 4 apg, 1.5 spg at the age of 40! those are better numbers than shaq now at the age of 34 .

i would. with arenas, jamison, and butler, they can go quite deep in the playoffs! all they would need is a center

He had solid numbers yes, but it wasnt fun watching younger guys get the better of him many nights or seeing his age take a toll on his body. Nothing compared to the spectacular, high flying and suave Jordan of years past.

Jordan @ 40 was still pwning most of the League, even the young guys. He still had it, and he probably still does.
