A new season begins and there a very high expectations for Kevin Garnett, Allen Iverson and the Minnesota Timberwolves. At media day Garnett talked about the very early departure of Stephon Marubry on Timberwolves media day. "We have no beef anymore, this had nothing to do with anything going on between us this time. It just happened."

Allen Iverson is very excited for his opportunity to play with another future Hall of Famer. "I have never played with someone of his caliber before. I'm very excited to make a run with this bunch of guys. It's a great group. But I wish Philadelhia all the best."

All I can say is. It's going to be a fun year!

Great Dynasty.
Tough loss in the Playoffs, good thing Steph only guarunteed (sp?) a Game 1 win.
Nice trade for Iverson. Good Luck for your next season, but I doubt you'll need it with KG and AI.

In the first game of the second season of this great new and upgraded Timberwolves team, the Wolves ave decided to put Rahsad McCants in the starting lineup after he was main guy of the assistant coach's training plan. Although Ricky Davis would rather start, he is willing to do what ever he needs to help the team.
Wolves at Kings
King's starting 5
C- Brad Miller
PF- Shareef Abdur-Rahim
SF- Ron Artest
SG- Bonzi Wells
PG- Mike Bibby
Game Summary
The Wolves came out blazing in the first quarter, KG and AI scored the first 12 points for the Wolves, followed by a Rashad McCants 3 pointer. Head coach Rick Adelman called a timeout after the Wolves had taken an early 14-3 lead. After the time out, the Kings, especially Ron Artest, came out firing. The Kings had lowered the lead of the Wolves to only five at the end of the first quarter.
Once the second quarter came around, the Kings were doing the same thing that the Wolves did to them in the first. The Wolves decided to go to their best perimiter defender in Trenton Hassell because of Ron Artest destroying the young but talented Trevor Ariza, who just finished with six in the game. After that the Kings quiteted down, and the score was 50-49 with the Kings up at the end of the second quarter. Garnett and Iverson seemed to be the only ones scoring. They each had 15 points at that point.

Once the second half came around, Rashad McCants began to show that he is a star in the making. He hit 3 three pointers in a row followed by an incredible alley-oop pass to Kevin Garnett. The rookie Ben Vuu also got his first minutes in the NBA. He did nothing special, but he had three reboungs and a block. Although McCants played well, the Kings came roaring back near the end of the third quarter while him, Iverson and Garnett were resting for the fourth quarter. The Kings still lead by one at the end of the 3rd.
In the fourth, the Wolves took over. There isn't much else to say so here are some stats.
Kevin Garnett-24 pts. 16 rebs, 6 ast.
Allen Iverson-33 pts. 10 ast. 3 stl.
Final Score
Wolves-108
Kings- 96

one thing about the starting line-ups. If you go to NBA.com, you can get all of the player portraits, to put in your dynasty. I noticed that Mike Bibby had a big picture. So PM about it if you dont no what im talkin about
good win though

Nice start to the season. If you are playing on a PC, you should post some screenshots of your games.

It'd be cool to see a KG alley-oop, assisted by AI of course.

good win man, Steph struggled

With Channing Frye spraining his ankle, it was up to rookie Ben Vuu to take over as the main guy in the middle (other than KG of course). And what great timing.
It was against Shaq and the Miami Heat.
Starting 5
C- Shaquille O'Neal
PF- Udonis Haslem
SF- James Posey
SG- Dwyane Wade
PG- Jason Williams
Key 6th Man- Alonzo Mourning
Game Summary
Ben Vuu is seven feet tall and weighs 277 pounds. So he's a pretty big guy. But he has nothing on Shaquille O'Neal when it comes to brute strength. Although Vuu only finished with 4 fouls, Shaq Daddy finished with 33 points. Despite Vuu's troubles, he still finished with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 1 block. So a very nice game for the rookie. During that, Rashad McCants was playing more minutes than he ever had. There has been a lot of talk about putting him into the starting lineup due to his big shots and future as an offensive superstar. Plus, Ricky Davis would be a good scoring spark off the bench anyway. Rashad and perhaps the type of player he will become Dwyane Wade were hitting shots back, to back, to back. Rashad finished with a career high 29 points while Wade finished with 30 of his own. Despite the great performances by both Shaq and Wade, no one else on the Heat scored in double figures and the Wolves won handily. Oh yes, KG scored 22 poits, grabbed 20 rebounds, and dished 4 assists while Allen Iverson scored 28 pointsm had 10 assists and 5 steals.
Heat-90
Timberwolves-105

Breaking News!!
After rashad McCants' breakout game against the Miami Heat, head coach Dwane Casey has decided to put Rashad McCants in the starting lineup ahead of the highflying Ricky Davis. Ricky had these comments about the move: "I don't want to start the game off sitting on my ass. I want to be out there playing and helping the team right away. If they don't start me, I want out." It looks like Ricky's time in a Timberwolves uniform might be coming to an end.

With Kevin Garnett third in scoring on his team alone ( Allen Iverson 30.9, Rashad MCants 22.1, KG 21.2). His victim: the Seattle Super Sonics.
Starting 5
C- Robert Swift
PF- Chris Wilcox
SF-Rashard Lewis
SG-Ray Allen
PG-Luke Ridinour
Key 6th Man- Earl Watson
Game Summary
Kevin Garnett wanted to dominate in this game where there was no big man in sight who could stop him. In the first half he had 26 points, along with 9 rebounds.

In the second half, Garnett continued to dominate, ending the third quarter with 44 points. During all this time, the NBA's leading scorer Allen Iverson, had 22 of his own at the time. He would finish with 30. On to the fourth quarter. Although Garnett was destroying Seattle's big guys like never before, Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis were playing like they always did. Allen finished with 24 points, whil Lewis ended the game with 27. But in all realness, it didn't really matter. Kevin Garnett finished the game with 55 points, 17 rebounds, and 5 blocked shots.
Final Score
Seattle-104
Minnesota-114

With the Wolves on a 9 game winning streak, Rashad McCants has started to become the star that people thought he was going to become. Since becoming a starter, he has averaged 24.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game.
" He has really come around as a player." Kevin Garnett says about his young buddy. " I'm serious man, I see shades of Dwyane Wade in that kid." Although McCants had been doing some great things, this game was all about the Answer. Allen Iverson. His victim:The Denver Nuggets.
Starting 5
C- Marcus Camby
PF- Kenyon Martin
SF- Carmelo Anthony
SG- Anfernee Barros
PG- Andre Miller
Key 6th Man- Earl Boykins
Game Summary
[color=darkblue]In the first quarter, Allen Iverson had 9 assists. Once he knew this, he went on a tear. Because of him, the whole starting lineup plus two bench players finished in double figures.
Although AI finished with a career high 23 assists, he still had 33 points if his own. Kevin Garnett had 32 points and 18 rebounds, also Rashad McCants had 27 points. Off the bench, Ricky Davis had 14 points. As you probably already guessed, the Timberwolves scored A LOT of points. On the other side, Carmelo finished with only 9 points on 3/12 shooting. But his teammates picked him up. Kenyon Martin had 33 points, Marcus Camby had 25, and Andre Miller had 17. But those efforts weren't enough to match that of Minnesota's.
Final Score
Wolves- 123
Nuggets- 109

Kevin Garnett was going for a layup when Brad Miller of the Sacremento Kings decided not to move, thus making hard contact. He came down hard and is out 2 weeks with a sprained ankle. Backup forward Justin Reed will take his place in that time. It is up to Allen Iverson and Rashad McCants to carry the load from here on out. The Wolves will be calling up Grag Ostertag for his size and strength.

Timberwolves star Kevin Garnett has returned from his injury and will be playing tommorow against the New Jersey Nets. The Wolves did okay in the stretch without their main guy. Star #2 Allen Iverson did what he could along with the rest of the team. They went 4-4 in that time. If the Wolves go on a big run, KG might be in the talks for his third MVP trophy on his career.

With the Indiana Pacers sitting at the top of the East at the moment, while the Wolves were second in the Western Conference standings (1.5 gb San Antonio), both teams were looking for a win.
Pacers Sterting 5:
C- Jeff Foster
PF- Jermaine O'Neal
SF- Danny Granger (Peja out w/ injury)
SG- Vic Townsend
PG- Jamaal Tinsley
Key 6th Man- Steven Jackson
1st Half Recap
In this game, Rashad McCants had rookie Vic Townsend's number. It really seemed like they were missing Ron Artest because of Rashad. But as the half concluded the Pacers went on a 8-0 run. Although there were only 10 seconds left in the second quarter, coach Dwane Casey called a timeout. He set up a play to the big guy in the middle, KG. They just bareley got it off in time and the Wolves had a 56-45 lead going into the half!
2nd Half Recap
Once the second half rolled around, the Pacers came out rolling, going on a 10-2 run, making it a 1 point game. But then Allen Iverson started shooting. And Jaamal Tinsley wasn't happy about that. He hit 5 shots in a row and 2 of those were 3's.
Once the fourth quarter came, nothing exciting happened. Except for this Ricky Davis dunk where he passed an alley-oop to himself. But anyway, the Wolves prevailed in this one by a margin of 16. AI had 26 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists. KG had 24 points, 22 rebounds, and 6 assists, while Rashad McCants has 30 points.
Pacers-99
Wolves-115
