I was surprised about that, because he watches NBA on TV almost everyday too...

I'm confused about what you are talking about when you say "Doesn't play D"...cause lebron james in 14th in the league in steals, averages almost one block per game and going by the facts...he and nowitski are about equal in defence. (and thats being generous) One averages more steals than the other..and one averages more blocks.

statistically speaking you could make that assumption, but he's a poor man to man defender. Even Webber gets more SPG than Garnett, and Webber is a bad defender whilst Garnett is one of the leagues best.
I'm still confused about what you're basing that on? Cause you're not saying he's an average defender...you're basically saying he's a bad defender. I don't think anyone on this forum would agree that a guy who's 14th in the league in steals and averages almost 1 block a game "doesn't play D". I'm saying he's a good defender based on stats. Seems to me that you're the one making an assumption..im going by facts.
so he makes a handful of good defensive plays in the game....the rest of the game however is a different story.
LeBron, besides his "stats"...well he gets beat off the dribble, faked out and gambles for steals.
Stating our opinions will never lead to a conclusion.
Most players get beat off the dribble and making a steal is always a gamble. Iverson was once the leading steals man in the nba..and he often missed some attempts..does that mean he was a bad defender? I'll leave you to answer that question.
challenge you to prove to me or the forum in some way that Lebron James doesn't play defence. However until you do, i hope you realise that it's all clearly your opinion. Conversely, my statement holds up on record as not simply my opinion

you offering your opionion too. Stats are open to impretation, they are not facts

No! No! No! Stats ARE facts. It is the meaning and value of stats that are open to interpretation. How many times must we go over this!
I find LeBron as a slightly above average defender. He's not Josh Howard, Manu Ginobili or Bruce Bowen. But he's also not Tim Thomas, Jalen Rose or Lee Nailon. It should take nothing from his MVP credentials, Bird and Magic weren't great defenders either.
