Definitely in with a chance now. But as I said, nothing is certain with this team. It's great they didn't just curl up and die when they were 29-39 though. With the Knicks' pick, there's no reason to tank. Finish the season competitively. (Y)

Gord--Bulls have been playing great lately, really showing some playoff hunger. Its going to have a lot to do with who wants the eighth spot more. I just pray that the Bulls don't fumble their spot, and start dying.

I'm sure it's happened before, though the odds are increased with the smaller divisions in place.

Bulls win over Philly. :cussing:
Indiana should just be the one out of the playoffs, it's more interesting if the Bulls and 76ers are the ones that make it. Indiana is playing bad I don't think of them as deserving of a playoff spot.

Well I know the 76ers is also playing badly but what can I do, I'm a fan. I want the 76ers to make the playoffs.

Bring it on Indy, bring it on. :P

Oh lord, they let another one go.
I've noticed that in the past few games AI & Webber have simply done most of the work and the other players have stayed relatively quiet. We need more contribution if we want to make the play-offs. Plus, not only did we lose but Chicago and Indy won. Great. :roll:

I don't know about that, but it's a nice cushion heading into tomorrow's game...which I still don't think they can afford to lose but they'd still have a half-game advantage if Philly pulls themselves out of their tailspin.

Bulls down 10 at the half. :( Gordon's only played 8 minutes and taken 3 shots. Might be worth giving him more of an opportunity in the second half. :roll:

EDIT: This is abysmal. 12 points in the third quarter while giving up 25. Gordon has seven shot attempts, Pargo's played 21 minutes and taken 10. Very disappointing effort in a crucial game.

EDIT 2: The beating finally ends with the scoreline looking a lot better than it should, the chance for the first tiebreaker blown. Fortunately they still own the second tiebreaker so for the moment they remain in 8th. With the next game against the Nets, even at home...well, after today I'm not expecting any miracles. Here's hoping the Wizards can beat Philly on the 10th.

Sixers win big 89-75. :) Chicago had only 49 points after 3 quarters.

I believe this is the Bulls thread. If you want to gloat about a Sixers' victory, take it elsewhere. ;)

But we're gloating about the Sixers beating the Bulls, in the Bulls thread, so it's on-topic :mrgreen: What happened to Webber? Is he injured?

Nocioni is playing great right now for the Bulls (Y)

Drex, I see you are enjoying yourself. Don't get too comfortable yet, we are still only tied. Hinrich and the rest of those cats were horrible. If it was a job, they would be fired. I swear to God I thought they were playing the Nets. By the way, they will have too. :? I'm torn: should I root for the Bulls to win to get a better shot at the playoffs or should I root for the Nets to win to have a better shot at winning that second seat?

Whichever team you truly prefer, I guess. I'll be hoping for a Chicago victory myself.

Well, they won. So I'm happier than Friday. And why do you say "we"? I thought you liked the Nets.

so i was a game early with iverson going bonkers...

Philly's remaining sched:
vs Washington
@NJ
@Miami
@Orlando
vs NJ
@Charlotte

Bulls:
vs NJ
@Atlanta
vs Washington
@Miami
@Orlando
vs Toronto

the 76ers look like they have the tougher sched- more playoff bound opponents and road games

I hope Deng will be good to go for the next game

They both play Washington, Orlando, Miami and NJ. Philly's remaining games are tougher :(
Anyway, Pacers games:
New York
Boston
Minnesota
@Charlotte
@Toronto
Orlando

Crap. I wish the Sixers & Bulls make the playoffs and the Pacers don't. That way we're all happy :mrgreen:

Except Indy. I'm guessing he'd be less than thrilled.

Bulls do appear to have the more favourable schedule from here on but (broken record time) nothing is guaranteed with them this year. Lately they've been winning games that they should/need to, but that hasn't been the case all year. I support and I believe, but right now I can't afford to be Homerish. ;)

Bulls are going to choke and lose the critical games. Then Philly keeps the playoff spot. :P

I can't wait to watch the Bulls against the Wizards, should be interesting rivalry to watch.

Don't make me use my powers of Jinx to cause the Sixers some...misfortunes... :twisted:

Anyway, their win today puts them back in 8th spot, and the Bulls next game is against the Nets. Fantastic. :roll:

I'm not afraid of your jinxing powers, I'm more terrified of your admin powers. :mrgreen:

If Philly chokes and lose their spot then they don't deserve to be in the playoffs. I'm starting to enjoy this 76ers-Bulls playoff positioning. I'm hoping to see great basketball or at least enjoyable games from those 2 teams.
