Nicknames

Postby Colin on Sun Jun 22, 2003 3:53 pm

Does anyone here have any nicknames? Mine are C Sharp (C#) and Big C, and my dad used to call me weird stuff when I was little  Those are just basic stuff though, any actual nicknames. This shouldn't turn into a thread of T-Mac wannabe's. Anywho, post away.

Well...my main nickname is "russo" ("Russian" in Spanish)...all of me friends here call me that.....i have that nickname because of a couple of reasons...

1) I'm originally from russia
2) I have a Russian accent (more or less)
3) Most of them can't pronounce "Pavel"

My best friends girlfriend (who's also a good friend of mine) calls me Stimpey (don't ask why) and sometimes Kurt (Cobain)

of course I have my almighty nickname "Brave Sir Rubin" (yet again oboious reasons)

and I somtimes tend to refer to myself as "God"...does that count? :D

edit: this is a good topic meanwhile...interesting at least :)

Hm...

well, I've been called Englez (Englishman in bosnian/croatian/serbian), cause I lived overthere for 2-3 years... and Doctor too, dunno why, probably since I'm from a family of doctors... but I've never done anything medicine related in my life, nor do I plan to.

Then there's Tony, what most people call me...

and my dad used to call me weird stuff when I was little

hmm... "weird stuff"... I guess it has a certain ring to it.

Man I don't really have any nicknames, there are always people who shorten your name and stuff like that... Someone did call me "Tigger" because I kept jumping for rebounds, and apparently that reminded them of the Tiger from "Winnie the Pooh". How sad for me :?

Rens gave me the nickname "Neuken King" but it wasn't from experience! :D

I got a few:

Jonesy - last name is Jones.

Doc - comes from that god awful song "Doctor Jones" by that band Aqua a few years back. It was a pretty big hit in Australia for some reason.

Barnabs or "Snabs" - comes from Barnaby Jones - a 1970's tv show.
http://www.actorbuddyebsen.info/bjones/ - this show.

Bulgearm - from always going to the gym.

Sometimes my dickhead mates would combine a few eg "Barnaby Bulgearms" etc.

My friends are retarded.

I lived on campus so everybody there had about 15 nicknames.

Funniest and most disgusting nickname we had was for this girl (some would say slut, whore etc) who was picked up by a buddy of ours and they were being intimate. Anyway to cut a long story short she got hit in the eye with a certain substance  so we nicknamed her cyclops. But it was in good fun so she didn't seem to care too much.

Calling them a band at all is great praise. My sister had the CD and the Cassette (Don't ask me why) of that album and played it almost non-stop.
