During a practice session with his teammates, Manu Ginobili was accidently strucked down and received neck spasms and is most likely to miss 2 weeks. The Spurs are having a strong season yet again as the reigning champs are in the top 5 favourites to take this years' crown. Michael Finley will most likely be the starter infront of Ginobili.

Chicago, IL (Ticker) Jermaine O'Neal stellar season continued as he helped his team to a road victory against the young Bulls team. The first quarter saw the Pacers go absolutely crazy as Pacers stars Ron Artest and Jermaine O'Neal combined for 18 first quarter points to give their team a 33-18 point lead at the break. The young and full of heart Bulls were not done yet as they decided to step up their game and make a decent comeback, cutting the lead to 4 points but the Pacers defence held strong and they finished the half with a 7 point lead.

The second half saw a continue in Jermaine O'Neal's dominance as he scored 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in the half. The Bulls would not give up but they could not grab the lead. The closest they got to the lead was to around 4 points with 2 minutes left but some great shooting from Ron Artest and Jermaine O'Neal prevented the Bulls from taking the lead. ^Co sign, J O'Neal was on fire, and Ron Artest was mediocre but still hot. Nice dynasty you got here, nice clean win, good luck next time.

Power Rankings #7

January 8th, 2006

The 7th edition of the nba.com Power Rankings have been posted.

Image

The biggest movers were the Detroit Pistons who move to #1 on the rankings as the Houston Rockets have been struggling to stay on top. Boston and New Jersey also have been playing great as of late and have moved up on the rankings. The Atlanta Hawks keep on slipping as they haven't lived up to there expectations, well they've done better than expected and then everyone though they'd make play-offs but of course, their lack of depth has resulted in a struggle. The Golden State Warriors have lost a few tough games and have slipped.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas out for 2 weeks

January 11th, 2006

Cleveland starting center Zydrunas Ilgauskas sprained his ankle today in a win against the Chicago Bulls in the late stages of the match. The Big Z went up for a rebound and landed wrongly on his foot. He will have to sit out for 2 weeks to recover. Anderson Varejao will get the chance to start at the Center position.

Mike Bibby foot problems, out for 10 days

January 11th, 2006

The Sacramento Kings traveled to Los Angeles to verse the Lakers and ended up winning by 40+ points, but it cost an injury to point guard Mike Bibby and he will sit out for 10 days. During the 3rd quarter, Mike Bibby started to complain about his foot after jumping into the crowd to save the loose ball and scans showed some bone spurs in his foot. Jason Hart served as a great back-up in the match while he was injured and will start in his place.

Pacers win second home game of 2006

Boxscores
Indiana Pacers | Denver Nuggets

Indianapolis, IN (Ticker) The Indiana Pacers came back home to host the Denver Nuggets and it was an entertaining match. The first quarter saw the Pacers take the initiative, led by Drew Gooden who scored 10 first quarter points. The second quarter saw more dominance by the Nuggets, who extended their lead out to 12 points but towards the end of the quarter, the Pacers got lazy and allowed to the Nuggets to come back and only trail by 5 points at the break.

The third quarter saw the Pacers step up their game once again, trying their hardest to make the score impossible to reach but they didn't do enough as Carmelo Anthony was leading the comeback to try and regain some ground. The Pacers held strong and finished the quarter ahead by 9 points. The fourth quarter saw the Pacers go out to a 12 point lead and stay there for most of the quarter. Towards the end of the game, Voshon Lenard and Carmelo Anthony began to make their shots as they tried to make a late game comeback. It wasn't enough as smart defence by the Pacers disallowed the Nuggets from having a chance at winning the game and the Pacers took this game, 107-100. Player of the game was Ron Artest with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Jermaine O'Neal scored 21 points and 9 rebounds and Sarunas Jasikevicius dished out 7 assists as he has suddenly decided to give up shooting. Carmelo Anthony scored 31 points and grabbed 6 boards and Andre Miller scored 15 points and dished out 11 assists.

Top Left: Drew Gooden knocks Andre Miller and slams it. Top Right: Jermaine O'Neal gets bumped and still makes the shot.
Middle Left: Carmelo Anthony scored 31 points tonight. Middle Right: Fred Jones slaps Nene in the face and dunks on him.
Bottom Left: Jermaine O'Neal posterizes Kenyon Martin. Bottom Right: Ron Artest makes the shot while Anthony falls.

Ron Artest, "Hell yeah, we won this game, and we're 4th in the league now."
Sarunas Jasikevicius, "I don't know what happen to me, I just don't shoot anymore. I pass more now, I like."

The Pacers have now won 5 games in a row and play another game tomorow in Houston against the Rockets, that should be a great, great match-up.

Josh Smith injures toe, out for 2 weeks

January 12th, 2006

Joe Johnson scored 46 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in a 39 point thrashing of the Knicks but the victory was less enjoyed for Josh Smith who injured his toe when going up for a slam and landing terribly. He will miss up to 2 weeks with the sprainage. This'll allow rookie Marvin Williams to have a stint at the starting line-up.

As good as the boxscore may or may not look, I've decided to scrap it as it takes toooo fucking long.

Well at least we got the win, he's only a rookie so i'll just blame it on Rookie's mistakes.

Drew Gooden dunk wins Pacers the game

January 13th, 2006

Boxscores
Indiana Pacers | Houston Rockets

Houston, TX (Ticker) This game was a battle of the titans as the Rockets are the leading team of the West and the Pacers are a part of the "Center three" (Cleveland, Detroit and Indiana are in the top 4 of the league record wise) and of course this game was going to go down to the wire. The first quarter saw the home team take charge of the game as Yao Ming was leading his team but the Pacers managed to stick with the Rockets and finish behind by only 2 points at the quarter break. The 2nd quarter saw Drew Gooden show off his offensive game by scoring 10 points and helping his team to a 6 points lead at the break.

The 3rd quarter saw Tracy McGrady and Rafer Alston begin scoring some points and shooting well and led a very slow comeback and they only succeded come to within 1 point of the lead at the break. The fourth quarter was a great struggle for both teams as neither team would give an edge. The Pacers shot out to a 6 point lead thanks to some accurate 3 point shooting from Ron Artest, who went 6 from 6 from the 3 point line and the game was the Pacers' with 2 minutes left to go. The Pacers suddenly slowed down a bit and Rafer Alston had a few nice shots which ended up tying the game with 20 seconds left in the game. The ball was taken from half way after the time out and Sarunas Jasikevicius was dribbling around and saw Drew Gooden unmanned, he threw it over to Drew Gooden and he slammed the ball down with 4 seconds left in the game. The Rockets took a timeout and the Pacers played lock down defence and Dikembe Mutombo was the only man free and he received the ball and jacked up the 3 point shot and missed and the time ran out and the Pacers won 103-101. Player of the game was Jermaine O'Neal with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Drew Gooden scored 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds and Ron Artest scored 31 points. Yao Ming scored 24 points and 9 rebounds and Rafer Alston scored 24 points and 7 assists.

Middle Left: Ron Artest soars for the.. lay-up. Middle Right: Jermaine O'Neal dunked on Swift too.
Bottom Left: Stromile Swift made up for it with a dunk of his own. Bottom Right: Granget shoots over Yao Ming.

Rafer Alston, "They call me skip, I'll punch your lip, if you try to trip, you be doing a backwards flip-AH!"
Jermaine O'Neal, "Wow, it was great to beat the team that went 15 and 0 to start the season!"

The Pacers have the weekend off and come back home to host Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Power Rankings 8

January 15th, 2006

Power Rankings #8 are here!

Image

The Cleveland Cavaliers move up to 3rd spot with their magnificent play led by LeBron James. Other big movers were Denver and Dallas as they've been playing solidly. Big losers were Memphis and Charlotte, Memphis were one hit wonders when they soared and the Bobcats expansion team type season continues.

Thanks for dropping by my dynasty, yours is back on track which is cool.

This was an obvious bump up my topic post. I'll just like to let you guys know that I've just lost all motivation and energy to play live 06 and do the updates, etc. Live 06 is just sucky to me now and live 2004 is the shit.

Dont worry, I haven't quit or stopped this dynasty, maybe i'll update the dynasty this week, depends how I feel
