What is the best basketball game you’ve ever played?

What is the best, or even the top 3 basketball game(s) you’ve ever played?

When thinking about it, to me the best ball game I’ve ever played was “NBA Live 99”, “NBA 2k2” & “NBA Showtime” for the SNES!

here are some of my favorites

Jordan vs Bird
Double Dribble NES
Tecmo Basketball SNES
Run and Gun Konami (Arcade)
NBA Live 95 Genesis
NBA Live 2000 PC
NBA 2k1 and 2k2 for the Dreamcast<------best online ballin for experience me

this 2003 live is kool but its unreal
its alot of fun dont get me wrong but its for damn sure aint the best game out there.

3) NBA Liive 97(you didn't have to create any free agents. They were already in the game)
4) NBA Jam Tournament Edition
5) 1 on 1 feat. Dr.J vs. Larry Bird(I still have this game for the Atari 7800. Kick-a$$ game)

Well, after hearing from all the people who said Live 2000 was the best live and so on. I decided to give it a shot. So yesterday I re-installed it and played a game, Milwaukee (they have those green uni's!!!) vs. Toronto. First game was alright, although it pissed me off because I kept running and wanted to take a layup without sort of stopping, but if I held it down to keep moving (and ahead of freakishly fast Ray Allen) then I did that gay little leaning jumper as opposed to a dunk or layup. I ended up loosing by 1 because toronto couldn't make a lay-up/lean-in shot. I played another game to try to win, and got completely blown out, Glenn Robinson had Live 2003 syndrome where he hits every single shot he takes, and none of them were midrange which is what he's good at. Vince Carter couldn't make a shot, and the AI for my teammates just let the ball roll by them to the offensive player on rebounds. And Tractor Traylor was unstoppable, I double teamed him every time and he just shot a fadeaway off the glass. He was 13-15 from the field. I bet he never shot that well in high school. I could go on, but I won't, so I really don't like 2000.

i think the best ive played would either be nba live 2000 or nba2k2, although 2k2 is a bit "arcady"...ITS ILL, and i still play it to this day

2000...i miss that one, have it for ps1, wonder where it is

I played it again today and I figured how to do a layup/dunk more often, but it still isn't much. And I still have that problem with one player making shots. Although it was easier today because I played on starter as opposed to all-star. Hey Ahmad, I have Live 98, 99, 00, 01, 03 and I know exactly where they all are. They just stay in the cupboard beside the computer. I might even play some live 99 tomorrow.

I like Live 2003, I got rid of 99 :cry:

I wish I woulda kept it, that was a really fun game, I still got 2000 and 2001 though but Live 2003 is my fav. right now. I'm surprised more people haven't mentioned NBA Jam. I loved that Game!
