Spurs hold off Suns, Reach 50 Wins

San Antonio, TX - March 18 (Ticker) -- Tim Duncan got off to a fast start and then helped carry the San Antonio Spurs down the stretch

Tim Duncan had a huge night for the Spurs as he notched up 20 Points to go along with 16 Rebounds to lead the Spurs to a tight 98-95 win, The Suns once again had double doubles from Nash and marion but it wasn't enough as San Antonio's stingy defense held on.

Despite solid defense on SA Guards Manu Ginobli and Tony Parker the Suns did not defend well inside the paint and that was a key reason for their defeat, Phoenix had their chances down the strech but didn't capatalise and even had a chance to send it to OT but Raja's Bell shot aganizingly went in and out as the Spurs beat Phoenix to finish the season series at 2 a piece.

Salt Lake City, UT - March 21 (Ticker) -- It was just 3 games into the season when the Suns season took a dive, Shawn Marion went down after being fouled by Andrei Kirilenko and didn't get up, The injury forced Marion to sit out the best part of two and a half months with a broken bone in his foot and left the Suns struggling for wins, But this has all changed and tonight when the Suns came to Utah for the first time since Marion's injury their great play continued.

The Suns were once again to good down the strech and outscored the Jazz 10-3 in the last two minutes.Shawn Marion had another stat packed outing with 20 Points 10 Rebounds and also 2 steals and 2 Blocks.

It was also another big night for Raja Bell who returend to Utah where he spent two years of his career and once again had the hot hand collecting 17 Points and pulling down 7 boards.Utah were lead by rookie Deron Williams who had a stellar game of 28 Points but it wasn't enough as Phoenix increased there lead in the Pacific division.

Phoenix, AZ - March 23 (Ticker) -- Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns struggled early on but hit their stride in the second half and cruised to win number 44 of the season.

Down by 7 at the half things weren't looking to flash for the Suns. But they steped up their defensive efforts and eventually opened the game up on the other end, Lead by Steve Nash who had 25 Points and also 8 assists the Suns were to much to handle for the young Trail Blazers who crumbled in the second half and were outscored by 20 Points.

It was another big night for Shawn Marion who had another double double with 24 Points while pulling down 11 Rebounds and also blocking 4 shots.The Blazers had 4 players in double figures lead by rookie Martell Webester who had 17 points respectively.

The Suns now have a tough game ahead of them when Denver come to town which will arguably be one of the most important games of the season considering the importnace in the playoff race for both squads.

Phoenix, AZ - March 25 (Ticker) -- The Suns looked a bit shaky in the first two periods but stepped up and had a huge second half and came away with a crucial win which may be one of the most important victories in the season for Phoenix.

Down 5 at half the Suns re-grouped and became more and more confident as the game went on and shot the lights out including 6 3 pointers in the second half.

Lead by Shawn Marion who had ANOTHER double double with 31 Points and 10 Boards the Suns who were far to good on the offensive glass and were pounding Denver in that area, Boris Diaw had another outstanding game and once again flirted with a tripple double falling just 2 assists short in what would of been his 4th career TD. Despite the Suns strong play Denver stayed with them and pulled within 2 of Phoenix in the fourth before falling away and eventually going down 113-109.

The Suns now have a couple of days rest before heading out to New Jersey where they will start there 6 game East coast road trip.

ok that was not a very good saying goodbye to a dynasty, but the 360 game sucks. The camera angles are terrible. My opinion though
