Have yao ever been in a fight? I heard he got into it with Mason of the hornets. Not sure. I heard that he was thought friendship first, competition second.

Actually, what happened was that Yao fell on top of Mason, and Mason pushed Yao off him (it's no fun having a 300 pound guy on your back), and Yao fell down sort of awkwardly. Yao's teammates actually took more offense to that than Yao did.

I remember Yao pushing some guy who dunked on him or something like that.

I watched that game live. Sean Marks dunked on Yao really badly, and then a David-Beckham lookalike (maybe The X knows who he is) got up into Yao's face. Yao shoved him to the ground, but, amazingly, there was no technical. But the Beckham guy didn't retaliate, so I wouldn't call that a fight.

I just hope that when McGrady comes back and takes those 10-15 shot attempts away from him, he wont go back to the "Old Yao" (15 and 8). :(

His stats will go down, but his level of play won't.

yao was putting up monster numbers when tmac was playing. its not like tmac takes 30 shots per. yao's numbers will stay the same if his level of play continues and so will tmacs. at most you see a 0.5 or 1 differential in the "main" categories. i quote main, because the most important category imo is winning and that will increase quite drastically. if anyones numbers will go down it will be the role players, but two superstars can coexist statistically speaking.

28/13 since all-star break, thats scary...
I didn't think there will be any centers averaging 28 points 13 rebounds. thats highest scoring big man in the nba, not just centers, but forwards...

"Only". Last year I would have considered that average. This year, it's horrible.

Yao Ming with 29/10, and the Rockets win by 28. Why couldn't they do this when it mattered. :(

5 assists and 3 steals as well. Yao could be easily getting 3-4 assists a game if anyone on the Rockets not named Yao could hit a shot.

They have the World Championships this year, so no, he won't be getting rest. Maybe a few weeks, but not the whole summer.
