Infectious Diesease - Bacterial and viral diseases... anything that can be spread between organisms.. google it for some examples...
The Bodys Defenses - The body has both specific and nonspecific defenses. The inflammatory response is a nonspecific defense in which the body attacks foreign antigens by dialating the capillaries and allowing macrophages to ingest the particle (such as a splinter, etc...). A specific defense mechanism is the immune system, where antibodies are produced against a specific antigen. (i could get into pages of garbage on how this shit works, but i dont think u need it...)
Preventing Infectious Diseases - hope you know how to do this one.
Noninfectious dieseases - Diseases which are not transferable between organisms... genetic diseases... over production of hormones, (down syndrome, etc)
Cancer and the Envirement - Carcinogens are cancer causing agents which can cause cells to mutate and divide rapdily if one is overexposed. Ultraviolet radiation and nuclear waste are carcinogens.
