great work on the 96 draft re done article. damn that draft was 10 years ago! Have to go back in the time machine to remember the happenings around that time (b-ball reference for me hehe)

I think the picks & analysis are spot on but i'll disagree on a few just to be argumentative

1. I'd agree. The irony hehe- the team that booed him when he won the all star game MVP would certainly embrace him if he put on the Sixer Jersey

2. Looking over Toronto's roster, I can see them passing over the countryman in order to nab a big man- the team's biggest need. Classic Babcock (RIP). The crowd would boo the selection of Jermaine O'Neal. Nash is tempting but a smallcourt of Damon and him wouldn't work when you have Zan Tabak, Carlos Rogers, Tony Massenburg protecting the paint

Jermaine being picked at 2 shuffles up Matthew's mock. I agree with the rest of the picks other then Ilgauskas & fisher. Based on the league having few quality centers, I think he makes it into the top ten, regardless of his funny foot history.

Fisher just isn't good enough to be a "based on team needs" pick. But I guess every draft has it's curveballs

Looking over the real draft- wow there were a lot of misses: especially picks 8-12 (Dallas, Indy, GSW, Cavs). Those first 3 are still looking for a big man and Cleveland is still looking for that bruiser to pair with Big Z

my views....
- 96 re-draft is about spot-on....although I would've also had Z a little higher....Nash in Toronto would have been great although one could argue that he might never have been the player he was today without the team he played for having the patience & a mentor like Jason Kidd in front of him

- 2000 was a weak draft as we all know....but I would have still had Martin going No. 1....at the time he was just what the Nets needed and he was a shoe-in for the pick....but I guess we are dealing in hind-sight....as for Redd, he should have never fell out of 1st Rd in the 1st place, which was a shock to me at the time....

8. (Philadelphia) Al Harrington. Despite his lack of height, Knight is a pure point guard whose stock rose with his play last season. In 97/98, the Warriors were forced to play journeyman Tony Delk at PG. Knight would fit in immediately and run the show.

In the 1998 re-done, that doesn't sound right?
