Discussion about NBA Live 2004.

Cameras??

Postby Tracy_McGrady on Mon Jun 02, 2003 8:51 pm

Doesn't it bother anyone that since 2001, EA has decided to take out the Press Camera. I dont see why they would remove it! I mean, I know a lot of players would prefer the behind camera view, but when you turn on an NBA game, what is the camera view that is broadcasted, PRESS!

Im sure someone out there will agree with me.

I thought the press angle in NBA Live 2002 was fine. Apart from that I agree, the older Lives have a better press camera angle.

There's a Press camera angle in NBA Live 2003, but it's not the same as the Press camera angle in previous NBA Lives.

I definately agree with you T-Mac, I think the tv cam in 2001 was the best, while the TV cam in 2002 was a little too close. and 2003, high the press wide cam, in which the camera was placed higher. It was like watching a real game in Seattle's Key Arena.

Speaking of camera angles, is anyone else not a fan of the way the camera pulls back as soon as the end of quarter buzzer sounds? It's a petty thing, I know, but I've never seen it happen watching a real game.

yeah, it's annoying especially when you take a last second shot---for a quick second, you wonder if you've made it or not.

Exactly. I feel the old way of going to the quarter break screen (maintaining the same camera angle, fading out shortly after the buzzer) would be better. No biggie, but I thought I'd throw it in all the same. :)
