 That's amazing. Thanks Benji. I may sound stupid saying this, but what's PSM, sounds like it's a gaming magazine.

That's a very good face right there. I just don't like the eyes, seems like they are too big. But the player models are vastly improved, the older face looks like a cartoon if compared to the other, (Y)

I have noticed that the real AI does have rather big eyes, however I do agree that they might be the absolute SLIGHTEST bit too big, but I dont know that for sure. Other than that I think its a perfect face and a huge improvement. I liked what I read about them getting pics of players from different angles to perfect the faces and it seems to have paid off on AI, but Im wondering what went wrong on TMac.

Ea knows what they are doing this year. Improved cyberface models will make using different pics for player cyber faces impossible. The most a patcher can do is use the same pic ea used and leave in detail EA usually takes out... (pimples, blemishes etc) (y)

That looks real good. They might actually be catching up to NBA 2k3's Iverson cyber face.

At least for the players they make a good cyberface model for, so all those rookies from the second round without a real cyberface can be patched. Maybe their VC will actually look like VC for the first time.

I am hoping we will be able to edit the headshapes for Live 2004 with O-Edit. The "technology" that EA is using for the cyberfaces in NHL 2003 and FIFA 2003 is new to those games this year. This new technology can be completely edited with O-Edit (hotspots, headshape etc.). With all the work EA seems to be doing on the headshapes for Live 2004 my theory is that they are now using the new technology for Live...which would mean we would be able to use any pic with any headshape and just modify it to suit the player. I'm hoping anyway...

Yea, i forgot about Oedit...and that would be great if it were true. I'm imagining making a bear in baggy jeans and boots by being able to edit everything with Oedit. Ok, mabe too ambitous...but we could make any player we wanted.

I also wanna be able to edit sounds like commentry ...cause i have some nice audio software that would be able to make it very convincing. So along with making players that are missing...we could fully implement them with sounds.

Well, if every player will have such a great cyberface, there's no need in 2-d photos any more!

It is almost a given that Live 2004 will come on 2 CD's for PC...I wonder if EA has started using the 512x512 high res cyberface textures again??? Maybe they'll use 256x256 or 512x512 textures for the shoes too???

I'm not sure about Live 2004 coming out on two CDs...has that actually been said anywhere? I also doubt it will be out on DVD-ROM, not everyone (myself included) as a DVD-ROM drive. EA would want it to be compatible with as many systems as possible, even if it means some people have to turn down the resolution.

I don't see why Live couldn't come with 2 cds, Vice City came with 2 cds, most of it is just for install then you only need the one cd. Sure it takes up more space on the HD but in the end it's all worth it with the extras you can add via the space. (Y) 2 Cds (Y)

Of course, there's no problem in having two CDs as long as you don't have to make frequent switches. No point in doing it if it's not necessary though.

But I mean if it was just once CD you played with like Vice City but the install took 2 cds you'd be fine with that right?

As long as it's on a medium I can use (as I mentioned I don't havea DVD-ROM drive), I'm happy, so long as it wouldn't involve furious switching of CDs. The way you described, one installation, one to play is fine. But if there isn't a need for a second CD ie. it all fits on one, then there's not much point in having two, is there?
