I can't hit an open shot!!!!!!!!

I'm the most skilled gamer yet (unlike my 2005 NBA Live experience with MS SIdewinder) but I can not, for the life of me, hit an open jump shot. Meanwhile the computer teams hit everything under the sun (my defense needs work).

But why can't I hit a shot here? My sliders for shot effectiveness is at 50. Any tips gamers??? Release at the top of my jump or just tap the shoot release button? FInd better spots on the floor? This is driving me crazy and I can't finish games.

It sometimes takes getting used to. Try playing at a lower level until you get a feel for it, then move the difficulty up, it's basically just practicing until you know when to release

i play on superstar and the only way to get a open shot is to crossover. Otherwise pass to a strong PF or C with a good FG rating and shoot in the paint. Most likely to get it in.

Usually, it's annoying that although you're open, the player releases the ball although your finger is still on the button. This is the same in 06, 05... Poor release... Shot control : USER

try shooting just before your at the top of your jump

When you're shooting press the button in the direction you're shooting.

Say your player is on the right side of the court, press the circle button more to the left and when the palyer is at his highest elevation.

this sounds very interesting. ive also been having trouble hitting open jumpers. i gotta try this shit out.
